X7 BMW X7: Spy Pics & Info

The BMW X7 is a full-size luxury crossover sport utility vehicle manufactured by BMW. It is BMW's largest and second most expensive SUV in its line-up. The X7 was first announced by BMW in March 2014. It was officially unveiled on October 17, 2018, with pre-orders being taken online. The X7 has been available at dealers since March 2019.

Will it even be sold in the EU?

The GL and Range Rover Autobioraphy are sold in Europe and they are massive. However the GL sales in Europe are probably just a fraction of that of the ML, so BMW might not bother selling since the marketing spend could be too high in relation to the sales.

Thats the 7er Security prototype ... featuring the extra weights to emulate the armor load. It has nothing to do with X7.

X7 will feature X-specific chassis - with significant ground clearance. And most probably the early mules will look like this:

I wonder how much the GL goes for in Europe?
The X7 better be close to the pricing of the GL in NA otherwise BMW should prepare for disappointing sales figures.

In Germany we have following prices for the GL:

350 BlueTec (diesel, 6 cylinder): 73.661 EUR
400 (gas, 6 cylinder): 76.160 EUR
500 (gas, 8 cylinder): 95.973, 50 EUR
63 AMG (gas, 8 cylinder): 131.852 EUR

This could be a rival for 1) Noddies car 2) Mr. Beans Mini and Trabant 3) Mercedes Unimog 4) the specially built Mercedes Viano security cash vans used in South Africa 5) Mercedes G Class Special Security versions.......:ROFLMAO::LOL::):p:D

^ I don't buy it... They're probably testing the driving dynamics of a bulletproof version of the 7-series, hence the added weight.

Thanks a lot, Betty. :)

Still one question: Do you really meant "Bund" or maybe "Bound"?
Because I know the word "bound", which would fit in this context, but not "bund". The dictionary don't know it too.

Klier is correct. I was having a laugh. Play on words between "Bund" and "bound".

With regards the X7, I have no insider information but it's not rocket science to predict when cars are going to be premiered, or when concepts are going to turn up. We don't need any BMW insiders for that. I might be wrong and feel free to come and tell me I was "wrong" come April, but I suspect it will be premiered as a concept in Shanghai on the press day on 19th April. Photos will likely appear on the internet before that.

We haven't seen any mules of the X7 yet, but what usually happens is there is a concept version about two years before the actual production debut, and the mules usually first appear just after the concept has been revealed.

The Bund is a famous street in Shanghai:

I walked there too, absolutely spectacular. European style buildings, because of the trade connection in the past.

Thanks a lot, klier. I didn't know the "Bund" before. I hope it is not a shame. :(

Betty, the same to you, little rascal. Thanks a lot! :)
Your explanation sounds reasonable. And my question was to all not only to the insiders.
But if you are wrong I will come back with a little hammer. :bangin: :)

I will add, the New York motor show begins on 1st April, so it's possible it is debuted there. However, NY does not have the prestige of the ever more important Chinese motor show, be that Shanghai or Beijing (they alternate each year).

After BMW showed the "Concept Gran Coupe" and the "Vision Future Luxury" in China I'm sure a X7 based Concept will also have its premiere there. :)
