when I see the Peageot's side crease,this BMW pops up in my mind.then I do a comparision and find some similarities are really there.

Or vice versa, doesn't it? When looking at the new 408 the Vision Future Luxury pops up in someone's mind. The styling has been characteristic to BMW since Bangle era. PSA cars adopted it later. So, if anything the Peugeot is mimicking BMW styling not the other way around. And both cars were introduced at the same time. Also the other 408 photos reveal the similarities are not as explicit as the pic you've posted might suggest.

PS: Actually, this 408 looks like a mix of variuos BMWs, MB E-class and Skoda Superb (especially the 3/4 view) and nothing really like a typical Peugeot. Peugeot is loosing it lately.

Citroens are much nicer & much more distinctive.Although also taking some styling cues from the Germans.

Klier, hardly anybody likes you on here. Most people think you're a silly fanboy. You have zero credibility. You come on here telling Star&Car what to do, as well as other people, whilst at the same time committing exactly the same sins as you're calling people out over.

At first I also had the thought "both cars are similar because both have four wheels". I say the typical mindset when such postings of similar looking cars are coming.
After Star & Car marked the section which he meant I thought "damn, he is right". I have looked for similarities and I have overlooked what he meant. And I think other members had the same thought after the second post which explained all.
And I must admit I'm a silly fanboy.

He's simply saying that they look similar! That's it! Why do you have to read some kind of agenda into it, like you're so bloody defensive that somebody might be criticising your precious BMW! Other people seem to get what Star&Car is saying, why can't you?

The first person to mention "mimicking" was you. Star&Car never said anything about anybody copying anybody else.

Not at all. As said: flame surfacing was introduced with Bangle era BMWs. After that many adopted that styling technique, including PSA. Just like H's kink has become widely popular among others over the years. You can also see it on the new 408.

Regarding making comments that two things looking similar yet not discuss it nor making any implication or conclusion ... What's the point? It's something a 3-year old would do. Eg. pointing out that sun & orange are both of orange color. Yeah, bravo! You've got it right! Attaboy!

No it's not. However, something a 3-year-old would do is have a tantrum when they didn't get their own way.

Some people didn't even notice the likeness until Star&Car pointed it out.

Looks are subjective. Saying two things are the same colour is a different thing entirely.
