5 Series (G30) BMW 5 Series (G30/31/32) Spy Pics & Info Discussion

The BMW G30 is the seventh generation of the BMW 5 Series. Body styles: (G30) (sedan), (G31) (wagon), (G38) (LWB sedan). Predecessor: 5 Series (F10). Successor: 5 Series (G60). Production: 2016-2023.
Maybe the angular parts are the front bumper of the lower side profile, but from what I can see here, I see much more softness than angularness.

Which is fine.

I think that LED front and rear will be standard, and for extra pay you will get laser front, and OLED rear.

I think exactly the same. And I am pretty sure that is 100% spot on. The high end models might have it standard; the 550i, 540e, M550d, M5, etc.

Very doubtful that BMW would make them standard even for high end models , these are still too new and industry firsts for BMW to squander making money off them by making them standard ,even the 750li doesn't have laser lights as standard. Im even surprised that the 5er will get them with OLED's as options.

That's true, but tech moves fast these days.
Just look at the new E class compared to the S class; it's got several innovations the S class lacks, and it's all tech.

Technology eventually becomes accessible. One example is the Laser-Light option on the i8 compared to the option on a 7er.
BMW have made a huge leap with Laser Light and have now showcased OLED lighting to the fact you can now get them on a production car albeit an exclusive limited production car but they have made the leap from concept to reality.
BMW have made serious effort to implement weight saving as well as more ample base for advanced current and forthcoming technologies. That will include electrical systems to run technology such as Laser Light and OLED should the customer want to order them which will be a matter of perspective for the customer.

However with Laser Light on the 7er accounting for 80% of new 7er going on sale. Then some would consider it an option to have same goes for OLED. I have seen countless posts in order to order them for their existing M4 but BMW have deemed to exclusive and will not authorise aftermarket sales for non GTS M4's.

I am no photoshop expert, but as the latest spy pics reveal almost the entire shape of the car, I have done a quick paint job to draw the character lines, the rearlights shape, and the shape of the diffusor of the M Pack rear bumper. Maybe some other member with PS skills can complete it:

You know what's so encouraging is that BMW continues to get the ratio of sheetmetal to DLO just spot on. I hope they don't change this too much in the future!

I believe your rear lights are slightly off Sky. They re too flat on the upper side, to much like the F10.

I think the only thing close in thouse renders are the rearlights ans the character lines.

Front is pretty spot on...shape of frontlight is almost correct...that little black "eyebrow" is part of the graphic, not the shape of headlight. I play little in photoshop to correct headlight and grill...so don`t look at deformed grill slats and headlight graphic, just outline shape....
