Where is the Air Breather? EfficientDynamics you know...

I find it interesting how similar the outter part of the rearlights is to that of the first X6.

How does the front bumper look Scott? Similar to the G11 one or with the air intake divided in three?

Its a lot more visually than here, here it looks flat and uninspiring.
The M Sport Packet has clues to the next M5s aerodynamic packet.

Not One, But Two Plug-In Hybrid Versions For Next-Gen BMW 5-Series

According to BMW Blog, the next-generation 5-Series will be available with two plug-in hybrid models, dubbed the 530e and 540e respectively.

Both are expected to use technology similar to that from the 330e, albeit modified to suit the increased sized of the 5-Series.

As the names imply, the 530e will be the entry-level variant. It will come with a four-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor for a total output of 280 hp. In electric mode, it will have a 35 km range and a 120 km/h (75 mph) top speed.

As for the 540e, it'll be powered by a twin-turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque and an electric motor with 95 hp and 250 Nm.

The battery of the two cars will be found under the rear seats, and during braking and periods of inertia while driving kinetic energy will help recharge it.

Both models are expected to come standard with a 9-speed automatic transmission, wireless charging functionality and the option of rear- and all-wheel drive.

Interesting , should the M5 retain its 4.4L V8 engine it will have a bigger engine than the E63 with its 4.0L V8 , think that will be the first time an ///M has a bigger engine and an AMG

Almost. A45/CLA45 vs M2 will be first.

The 5er continues to look much more athletic and sporty than the e class. Now make it drive "smaller" and improve the steering please. Heavily weighted and dead on center sucks.

From what I have seen in regards to strategy there is no official plan towards a 7er or 8er Coupe. Only the 9er which is on the strategy under the name of Dreamliner.

The next 6er uses the new CLAR cluster architecture but uses the same development as is the BMW designed shared with Toyota Architecture which is basically CLAR with more composites. The 6er will be its own car again in Coupe,Cabrio and Gran Coupe. And its styling is influenced by the Vision Future Luxury and the CSL Hommages to mimic a more modern heritage.
@SCOTT27 , have u read the press release on the new Lexus lc500 unveiled in Detroit yesterday? I guess this is the first car from Toyota's end to use this bmw designed CLAR architecture.
