Wow the figures Car and Driver are the quickest yet from any mag so far. 9.7sec and 142mph are in the league of a 918! The 0-200kmh time looks to be about 7.8sec and 0-300kmh time about 21sec approx.

There's a great semi-slick test in the latest AutoBild Sportscars issue.
M2 CS (275/35 R19 - 285/30 R20)

  • The winner of the test, the Trofeo RS, was the second fastest - just behind the slick. It had the best endurance, and it's the second cheapest tire in the test.
  • The Chinese tires handled very good in both dry and wet. The Nankang wasn't very precise and it would trigger ABS during dry braking.
  • AO52 had the best wet handling. But it wasn't very precise due to soft compound.
  • The Cup 2 R didn't perform so well, given that it was developed for M4 CSL. They found its compound to be quite hard.
  • Both of the Michelins suffered from rubber pickup in the endurance test.
  • The slick tire had terrible braking performance due to it triggering ABS. It also never got into its operational window during the endurance test, which was driven at 80% pace.
