All 3 are among the world's best sedans at the moment! And a hard call to go with only one. If its only one, its the 5er for me! :usa7uh:

My thoughts exactly, If some didn't point it out I dont think any one of would have noticed it.:t-banghea

While I agree with this opinion but do you not think this is true for the other brands, I look at the rest and feel the same way though to a slightly lesser extent. Take the E-class for an example

And it's tricky to truly say which is which, btw the top is the S/Line. Now BMW which in my opinion offer the great distinction between the sportier version.

Where my main problem and gripe is with these sportier bodykits looking too alike the models that are the true sporty versions. I constantly complain about S/Line and S models looking almost identical, M/Sport and M models looking the same and AMG bodykit looking the same as the proper AMG cars.

The only one which bucks this trend is the RS models are truly different.

^ I meant 'Sport' bodykit but you get what I mean, the differences are not entirely huge, it's all subtly done by both Audi and Mercedes.

I´ve seen a lot of base 5er which look 100% premium, even without any kind of option. Last week I saw a 525d in dark blue, with standard rims and it looked like a thousand times better than those E250 CDI I use to see with any option, double fogs, and so on. They look cheap at the best.

Bodykits in your pics are the same.

All I know is the bottom one is the normal E-class we get in the UK and the top one has the optional 'Sport' package complete with LEDs.

But do you get my point? :t-hands:

No not really. I have problems distinguishing standart audi bodykit from s-line, but i'll recognize m-pack and amg right away

Maybe your eyes are more in tune with both these brands and notice the differences, my eyes instantly know the difference in a S/Line but that's because I know what I am looking for, the same goes for a BMW, I know I can tell a M/sport bodykit a mile off but with the same token I can't always tell at a glance whether it's an M/sport 3er I'm looking at or an M3 and the same is true for a Mercedes, though not all models I might add, it's usually when you see the rear that you instantly know it's a proper AMG which is the same with the M cars.

OK, no common ground here with this discussion and we have ventured far off topic so let's get back on track once more. :usa7uh:

second that

I realy like the front and rear end of the Audi... I hate Audis and it's the first time I'm puting one next to a BMW. Only design wise. I prefer BMWs
hardwear.

hate is very strong word dude. With that said I like the Audi actually I like the Audi alot, the 5er is very sharp indeed, but I suspect the 535 to get it's ass handed to it by the 3.0t fsi.

How about this, speaking stylistically (I'd say all 3 Sedans are sleek, rich, and sporty, so that applies to all):

You want something strong, confident, purposeful, stately, dynamic, complex? E-Class.

You want something coherent, understated, elegant, pretty, athletic? 5-Series.

You want something clean, "alternative", carefully evolved, pure (front aside), simple-yet-defined, slick? Audi

The A6 looks like the old car with a new front, its even worse than the A8 in the design department. Audi is losing it when it comes to their sedans.

I have to say that the E-Class is starting to grow on me much like the W210 had to do back in 1995.

I keep seeing so many of them, its a huge looking car from the rear too. With the right wheels and package it is *starting* too look better.

The front of the Audi totally ruins it. It looks childish and cheap/over-tried next to the more authentic and serious fronts from BMW and Mercedes, and it certainly dates the rest of the car. The crazy front does a great job of making the sides look instantly old. Just not a great balance.

I still think it's a nice overall car though, but if Audi wanted popping-smoke, they should have designed the whole car with that theme, not make something very reserved, then overcompensate with that goofy, quick-pop front.

Indeed! IMO a nice summery. And I've seen every generation of the A6 in the same way - NOT A BAD CAR AT ALL, JUST NOT THAT GREAT EITHER.

The E-class and BMW 5er both reached an icon status and individuality that Audi does not want to catch up to it seems.

The F10 5er was engineered and designed to stay on top in this class.;)

The E-class is progress without alienating it's core customer base.

I agree, MB has to work on the standard version of it's E class.
With the right options, wheels and color, it's a stunning vehicle. But in standard guise, it can be rather....uhm......dull.....

And the new A6, well, what K-A said pretty much. The old car with a new weird front and ugly rear. Can't say I like it.
