Hahaha, you might only be aware of that about this country, but dude the number of people with such orthodox belief is very less. Anyway am not from such a bunch and I strongly believe in one God. Am not sure which part of the world are you from, but the climate here such countries in equatorial belt face extreme climate and high rate of humidity. Leather as a material is hot and in cold countries it gives warmness which is good for such climatic situation. As rightly mentioned by Rolf, cloth/fabric give ventilation which helps to pass air to the body.
We are from Australia, it does get very hot but probably nowhere near as humid as India.

Ah, velours. The ultimate luxury in S-klasse of the 60-ies and 70-ies. Love that stuff and still see in front of me a W116 which a friends father drove in 1975: light green velours combined with "distelgruen" exterior.

^ I wouldn't mind if MB offered velours like in the old days, nowadays based on some hightech fiber. Think it would be great as an alternative to leather.

Yeah - W116 equipped with light green velours and distelgrünmetallic. We drove it - 225.000 km.
That was the time were technical progress seemed to make everything possible and were no other threats seemed to exist. easy living...

Um, if you have leather seats, you most likely have heated and cooled seats. I'm just happy we don't those in the US.

There are W222 S-Klasse Taxis in Berlin and Hamburg with cloth seats. I would imagine they are easier to clean and maintain than leather?

You're joking? Leather is FAR easier to clean and maintain than cloth.
Providing you have the right tools. But I wouldn't and I presume you wouldn't take a Karcher brush to thoroughly soap and scrub a leather covered seat. You can do that in for example our C4 Cactus.

In a taxi I would prefer to sit on MB-tex than material.

Every time I get into a taxi with material seats it stinks. Maybe it's just in my head.. but I am pretty sure it's real.

The important thing is, Uber has solved this problem for me.

I hope they will get a grill that is distinctly different as well as an upgrade to interior materials and color choices.

idk what design change they did with the headlights but they look a lot smaller

I doubt they're smaller @Keyonte. Could be the tape that makes them only look smaller.

No they're not physically smaller it's just the design aesthetic that make them look smaller I just can't exactly pinpoint what about the design make them smaller
