I am surprised that the facelift doesn't have electrically assisted doors. It's increasingly a common option - even for the full fat range rover.

Heated seatbelt is a nice touch. I also like that rear screens have webcams for Microsoft teams meetings. For some people, the sclass is used as a mobile office.

Mercedes isn’t too keen on this. The EQS has electrically assisted opening and closing front doors but they seemingly aren’t in a rush to take that further.

Just another failure point. I’m glad they’re not pushing it this time.

Of course for the rear doors, even with the gesture wave, but I don’t see the point really of the driver and front passenger doors, where a quick entry/exit becomes delayed each time.

I had a i7 for a weekend and I found it to be a solution for something no one thought was a problem in the first place.

I love the looks. Mercedes should consider themselves lucky they have enough goodwill that the flaws will be largely excused.

Agreed. I hate the fact that I find it so desirable despite the obvious design issues. The fundamental underlying qualities of the S-class remain.
