Looks like the current touchpad to me. So I don't get your remark of it being a cheaper varaint.

I think he was talking about this one, it's flatter.

I wonder what AMG is going to do with the S-Class from this facelift to future models onward.

Time for the S63/65 to pack it up and head to the gym. The M760 as well as the Audi S8+
are posing new threats in terms of driver dynamics. For a long time the S-Class has enjoyed wearing the AMG badge with no real competition. That has changed now.

4 place sport seating option with a real AMG steering wheel would be nice come face lift time.

It seems to me that the shape of the lens will change slightly .

IS the grille bigger or headlight smaller in the above spy pics?

Holy Moses, that actually looks really good! It reminds me a teeny tiny bit of the W221.

It has a much more athletic and aggressive stance over the PF222, in my opinion.

The more aggressive lights, larger grille and what seems to be a huge air intake in the bumper will make the car´s front end way more impossing than the current one.

This looks like the Sports or hardcore AMG package.
The air-dam and splitter is large and very aggressive.

New headlights for sure, but I suppose MB will redesign the backlights as well ( just as they did with the W221 FL/Mopf)?

The thing is, what would they do with them? The change for the W221 was obvious: removing the painted strips and changing to a more traditional design. But what about the W222? The rearlights look perfectly up to date IMO.

Graphics of the rear lights will change to be more in line with the rest of the lineup and as it looks like MB is going away from the thin tubes and more with the wider flatter graphics.
