"From December 2013, the S 500 BlueEFFICIENCY will be upgraded to 455 hp. "

So our U.S. market S550 will have 455hp? Didn't see that before. We're almost there folks, less than 2 weeks now.

[quote="Monster, post: 636938, member: 119"]I like how Mercedes continues to pretends those numerous leaked photos do not exist online and nobody has a clue of how the exterior and interior looks like. I don't remember the W221 having so many pre launch leaks.

Anyway for those who can't wait...here is the 1:18 scale model of the W222.

- the S 350 BlueTEC with 258 hp
- the S 400 HYBRID with 326 hp
- the S 500 BlueEFFICIENCY with 435 hp

Prices start from 80,000 euros in Germany. From December 2013, the S 500 BlueEFFICIENCYwill be upgraded to 455 hp. Starting next year, new variants for the S-Class are planned: the S 500 Plug-In Hybrid with near 350 hp, and the range-topping AMG variants with 571 hp for the S 63model (which will also be available as an S-Model with Performance 4MATIC and 585 hp) and 630 hp (or, perhaps 650 hp from 2015) for the S 65 V12 version.
The S63 and S63 S line must have at least 10-20hp more than the e63

That 550 badge was for the 5.5liter V8 before it got replaced by the 4.7literBi-Turbo V8.
It would be nice for them to go back to S500, I don`t thnk thay will.

You American's always assume bigger is better. I think you're starting to understand, it's not the size that matters, It's how you use it. :D

I don't know about you guys, but even my sleep is suffering for anticipation ;). Yes, call me a.... whatever. And yes, I know it's "only a car". No! It's not! It's the (and my next :D) S(onder)-Klasse

Still not here ? This is becoming as tedious and repetitive as a Taylor Swift song.
"Will it?, won't it ? - whatever...."

We have seen so much of this vehicle; I imagine the unveiling (whenever it does occur) will not be all that surprising or exciting. Like someone said in an earlier post, what more can they show? I guess we still do not have the specifics on the technical specifications and standard/available options. Photo releases usually do not show everything I want to see; you have to go see the car really see the car. I am looking forward to the release, but this will be like telling your parents you want the new toy you saw on TV for Christmas, not much of a surprise when you get it.

Are you kidding? This is still going to be a hell of a reveal. The official pics inside and out, out door pics, different colors exterior/interior, different wheels, there is so much detail we haven't seen yet. Sure we know what it looks like, but do we really know what it "looks" like. No we don't really. Wait till they show one in Black White Blue and Brown.

Is this the point you tried to make?
