I, a) was joking, and b) didn't mention any touchscreen controls preference in my post

To avoid blinding drivers at the rear in heavy traffic, the S-class’s brake- and taillamps are lit at varying intensities.
KILLER interior.. everything looks like it a class and a generation above the competition just as it should.
Haha sure does! at least when compared to the 7er..No it doesn't .
Buy yourself one and one for your good friend Artist?E80K? Oh please don't make me cry. That is so cheap!

a couple of gens ahead actually..
The rest are just 1 generation behind
PS
Love the 2 tone seats..
For all we know this could be the Designo spec interior because we do not have official specification material. At a guess this is probably not standard. The standard interior could be a little different. BMW Individual can do this type of quilting on the dash if you are willing to pay extra, in fact there is multiple areas of finish BMW can produce via BMW Individual.
At this level it is not about whether BMW can do this or MB can do that in terms of an extra stitch or an extra gizmo. It is about if you are a Mercedes personor a BMW person. A S-Class person or a 7-Series person. All the stitching in the world would not bring me to the current BMW in lieu of this 222 S-Class, or even in lieu of the 221.
By pure sense of timing, the S-class is now a generation ahead. No logical person can deny this - it is a fact. F01 ~ 221, 222 = 221 + 1 => 222 ~ F01 + 1 (Insert chassis designation for A8, XJ or whatever).
