That's cool. Dictators in the 3rd world will be even more impressed if the car can detect cruise missiles and bullets heading for the car.

This is just one spyshot from the side, it is current (LWB form I guess)
Weird thing is, this isn't FEP. It still has those weirde backlights in this shot.

Do they let FEP and non-FEP drive around at the same time?

I would guess the taillights will resemble the ones on the F700:

I think you are 100% correct. Both the front end and the rear end seem to be inspired by F700. The rearlights seem to be a carbon copy of the F700 without the painted strip. They even share the distance between the boot lid, something the W221 hasn´t (as the realights end where the boot lid starts.)

You and me both, my friend.

.... you and me both. :)

The eye sore of seeing it slant upwards, while the rest of the car is slanting downwards (i.e, rear to front motion), makes it look tiring to see already. I can't stand anti-symmetry, especially on the sides of a car.

Glad to see someone agree.
But I think it will be amazing IMHO.

As said earlier, you will learn to love it.

LOL. That looks like the C Estate from that generation. M-B definitely subscribed to the "same sausage, different size" idiom back then. :D
