S-Class W222 [Spyshots] Mercedes-Benz 2014 W222 S-Class (Spy pics & info)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class produced from 2013 to 2020, serving as the successor to the W221 S-Class and predecessor to the W223 S-Class. The W222 has a similar design theme to the C-Class (W205) and E-Class (W213).

Kinda agree but the reveal itself is gonna be interesting. Show me black non-AMG s500  I think its funny how we have basically seen everything but still its hard to say how the car is going to look.

There have been many warnings about OT posts but just look at the three posts above. What is the hardest part to understand? Is is the part which says no OT or is it hard to understand what is OT?

^ I find all the huffing and puffing about the model not having been shown yet kind of annoying. Yet, I show up here everyday hoping for a leak as well. Kind of a "beautiful" trap this thread, which is in fact the unique thing about being a car fan. But in playing this anticipation game we forget that the grownups actually still hold on to schedules. May 15 means May 15, so earliest leak of proper official pics, I expect to take place no earlier than late in May 14.

It is evolutionary in styling. But this car is not about styling, its about technological showcase. And that cannot be evolutionary, otherwise it will be pointless. I don't really care about its looks, it is a four door limousine for sake... But as a shape of things to come...

I'm dying to know what are the benefits of having those two 12.3 inch screens. They are not there for aesthetic purposes. and they must have some interesting function. I want to know what MagicBodyControl feels like while driving. I want to see those LED's doing their job better than xenons. I want to know about the aerodynamics, and weight saving, and quietness and comfort. About all the gadgetry. That is what I'm craving for in this car.

Looks are already familiar for quite some time...

Aesthetics play an increasingly large role with regard to the success of a new automotive product. There is no argument that the W222 will be chock-full of innovative technology. Cars in this particular segment however, as well as most other segments, are VERY MUCH about styling and eye appeal.

Of course, one could argue against my case with a few given examples (Porsche Panamera)...
