We have to wait for the official pics to see if you have really seen the car

The side lines on the side are somewhat different than the thinly disguised spy shots indicate, close but I do not think it is the same. Front may be closest guess.

Yes, I do know that but most people will get it as a 2013 model if it gets released this year.
For people like me and you that live or used to live in the USA it's ok but for internationals it will still be confusing.

I didn't see the S Class its-self uncovered, but photos of it. If not I also had a look at the slightly comoed one, you can clearly see the lines of the car, only bumpers and lights are covered, but they don't hide anything special.

So when it goes on sale later this year in Europe it will be a '13 MY? Isn't the current W221 the '13 MY here and overseas?
My guess it will be '14 MY for Europe and the rest of world. And it will be '15 MY for the US, just like how the W221 was introduced as '07 MY in early '06.
Only time will tell .

Yes, if released in 2013 it will be a 2014 only for the US and if 2014 it will be 2015 only for the US... from the information we have we only know it will be released in 2013 and IMO that's more plausible than 2014

Suspect market introduction (ME) at the dealers in July, if this schedule is correct.
And official info might be released soon, around 26 March 2013, after the S-Class Coupe Aesthetics Concept in Geneva.
