So the dropping line won't be even aligned with the door handles, and won't have the door handles integrated on top of it, it looks like.

Gonna be a big mess, the side surfacing.

yup i think has the dropping line ended after the rear wheel would have looked better...It seems i maybe the only one who is going to miss that current rear wheel arch.

Back to the lines i know many hate it but can i ask this question..

Imagine the E class and CLS without the lines...I think it would look dull I for one think the E and the CLS are master class designs. Most off you know how i love the E class.Last week i saw a CLS 350 white..And had it parked next to my E pity i am not good at pictures and stuff But the CLS is a BEAST..

Sorry to stray off the topic but what i mean to say is that i think the lines looks good on these cars lets wait for the S class and see how it looks before we get excited..

I for one love lines, they add a lot to a car, however, it's always a big IF they're done right. Basically, lines can either make me drool or completely write a car off, personally.

i made a shop also from the back (and a litle more sport-pakaet with 21'' Brabus Monoblock):

however, the car will be THE BOMB!
the proportions are just AMAZING (yet this is the 'kurz' verison-i like the 'lang' version more),
the back is very CL-ish, but that's fine with me.
So now i know what my next car will be!

Nice work yet again...Does seem to have a lot of CL in the rear...Hope it wont become old quickly due to us already having the CL very similar i mean the rear...That line is going to but some off our friends on here..One thing i like to say is Sonder you have awaken the forum and definitely this thread.

Thank You .

Ocean Drive COncept is so beautiful, just so S-Calss. They should have left it as it is and made it an S Class. Who would need a RR or Bentley?

It won't be long now, we're on a our 3rd thread??? LOL.

When the S will be revealed and discussed I am sure there'll be part 4. The S Class is such and important car, of the same importance as a 911 and a Golf.

Absolutely... If you think Mercedes shocked some manufacturers in the industry with the new A class; wait for what's going to happen when Daimler releases the new S class and its WHOLE LINEUP. The whole industry is going to shake dramatically. Daimler is coming up really strong, from the compact segment with its derivatives till they reach the ultra-luxurious segment of the Maybach, but this time with the new S class Pullman. And already they are rooted in the super sportscar segment with some legendary names like the CLK-GTR and SLR 722.

They can go Anywhere... Anytime they want. That's how strong and powerful that STAR Emblem really is.

Thank you! Not feeling the lines at all. Is this a picture of the real car? Grill looks small/weird in that photo.

IMO as with the E-class I don't think we should expect any way near something of a revolutionary design, whilst the tech will blow us away as that is the S-class's domain;)

It will have resent styling cues, think CLS and SL. Also it will have presence, lots if it.

the same picture, but extended for correct proportions:
