Mercedes previewed the CLS, E Class, E Coupe, B and A Class. The S-Class will hopefully get previewed in one way or another.

They have previewed all of these in Geneva?

I have heard they will preview the next A in Geneva.
But this year Mercedes will release/preview: the next A, the next GL, the new CLS Shooting Brake and of course the the S-King.
AT LEAST one of these four has to be released or previewed in Geneva.

The A class was also previewed by the A class Concept at Beijing Auto Show April 2011. This year we will see the series version for sure. Also the CLS was previewed in 2010 with the CLS Shooting Brake Concept. I think that for S class it is too late to be previewed by a concept car, and I seriously didn`t what that, because S it`s a very very special model and it is somehow cool to be surprised when you see the real deal. A S class presentation is always special. The new S class could be teased but like I said, I don`t want any clue except the spyshots. Photographers please catch the FEP pictures of the S class !

So (just for example) the A will be released in Geneva and the CLS Shooting Brake in Beijing.
You said that the S should have it's on ''show'' but the W140 and W220 were released in Genva and the W221 in Frankfurt.
I know with 99.87600000% certainty it will be released (not just concepted) in a certain car convention THIS YEAR

I think they are already testing the FEP's.
The question is, when will someone spot them.

I agree with you, I think that the S class is already on FEP stage but someone must capture photos with it. And I`m 94 % sure that the S will be unveilded this year at Paris in October. But, until that moment I expect some revealing photos of the car in August or September.

Well, we all think the S-Class is already in the FEP stages since it is the usual way MB does things. But, for a company, it makes more sense what BMW, or even Audi does. MB has had their mules almost uncamoed for a year, knowing all of us how the car was going to look like, and wondering when the heck they were going to show the press release. BMW shows FEP cars 4 or 5 months before the official debut, and yet they have plenty of psycho camo that doesn´t allow you to exactly know the shape of the front and rear lights. And Audi doesn´t use to test their mules on public. Or has anyone seen the Q7 mules? or the TT ones?.

Mind the FEP S-Class will show you the side profile lines, and almost uncamoed front and rear ends, pissing every possible surprise. Anyway, regarding MB we always have Autobild, that shows us how the cars are looking like 1/2 or 2 years before.

I like the Audi style to didn`t show anything but and also the Bmws one,but it would kill me to didn`t have any idea of some cars until they are officially unveiled.

Screams flop imo (though it looks very cool and high tech)

There's no way a driver can use tis in a safe way at 180 km/h on the autobahn.

The tech involving all those numbers and data both on the huge screen and proyected on the glass is surely making its way to production version. But Mercedes will simplify it to make the driver able to drive while using them.

Most of the people that have a license are not able to drive. Can you imagine how "able" will they be while using this :D:D

Aboslutely agree sir :D Last week I saw a lady driving a MINI, she should be driving at 120 Km/h and was making up herself.

It'll be anything but a flop, as people love techy gimmicky stuff like that. However, I can't imagine this being anything near safe or logical. Nor do I feel it is in any way a necessity to make people better drivers or make their drives more pleasurable.

Really, the most important thing is: Is it in any way safer than not having one at all.

Not this thing, it seems dangerous.

But a ''normal'' HUD (like the bimmer 3 ones) with a speedo is actually safer, 'cuz you don't have to look down at your actual speedo.

Agreed, the S class is known to be an 'easy' car to drive. this system can only make it complicated
but i have to admit.. its cool to play with it and make your friends go like Uh-Oh, while in stationary ofcourse :D
