Have Autobild's MB renders ever been wrong? That attempt at the E is probably 90% accurate. The front bumper does look a little previous-gen, however.

Have Autobild's MB renders ever been wrong? That attempt at the E is probably 90% accurate. The front bumper does look a little previous-gen, however.

Autobild renders are usually the most accurate of all German automotive magazines. Alas, they too also get things wrong occasionally. Case in point: the latest editions' renderings of the upcoming Porsche Panamera II. Numerous photographs and videos of relatively lightly veiled prototypes prove that conclusion.

I love the front (based on the renders) but the rear needs to be state of the art because i do not want the same thing over and over again

Here is a comparison with rear of C-class, E-class mule and S-class. Looking closely at the outline of the E-class back lights the top section of the light is more straighter and flatter than both S-class and C-class. The part of the light that ends in a sharpish point into the rear vender is also pointier than both C and S. Comparing the distance from top and bottom of light it seems narrower than both C and S also,

Looks like the innerlife of the backlight is different to the ones of the S-Klasse and C-Klasse. Sort of shapes like the led running daylight in the front lights.

Could be similar to the C-Class, that is, standard headlights are accompanied with a basic tail light design.
