^ I love how Autocar have the " baby Jag " billed as the class benchmark when it's still over a year away from production  The new C is shaping up superbly on the outside, and though the interior is quite ugly, the materials appear to be first-rate:) What I really want to know is how much a C-Class will weigh compared to a respective 3 Series....

Where do they say the baby Jag is the "class benchmark"?

LOL John mate, I was wondering the same, but I didn't want to mention it, in order not ot exacerbate a certain member :ROFLMAO:

Oh for Christ's sake, Autocar is a British magazine. Of course they're going to refer to Jag more often than other manufacturers. Get a grip.

Now, seriously, it's ironic how many times Levi was criticized for comparing to his "imaginary cars" (even by you, if memory doesn't fail) but it's ok if Autocar does so.

Whatever

Oh for God's sake. What on Earth is your problem?!

I don't see the point in what Autocar are doing either. BOTH cars are imaginary. But that wasn't what you said. You were questioning why they chose to compare it to a Jaguar as opposed to another imaginary car, such as the Audi A4, which is also due out next year. I was simply saying that as it's a British car magazine it's natural they are going to talk about Jaguar. At no point are they claiming the new Jaguar will be the class benchmark. They're saying the Jaguar should be worried. They think the BMW 3 Series is the class benchmark if the current issue is anything to go by.

Autocar are not a global car magazine like Top Gear. It has a very UK centric focus. Also it's weekly as opposed to monthly, so they operate a bit like a tabloid; they have to find things to put on the front cover to create "headlines".

Why on Earth do you care so much? It's very odd that you do.

Now, this has gone off-topic for too long, so in future, don't make a dig at me. In fact, just put me on your ignore list.

^or its just a mercedes flat bonnet badge totally out of size and pixelated..

But hey whatever floats your boat..

PS
To even hope for the britts to have such humor is a stretch:D

Or not. I guess they are implying the new C is a commi version of S-class? For the poor people ... ;) :D

Yes, it's obvious a bad CGI of MB bonnet badge yet it definitely looks like hammer + sickle + wheat in that Autocar's CGI. LOL
The situation reminds me of JCPenny "Hitler teapot". It's there somehow if you are able to see it. :D

Ahem...

Considering how big the badge is in the spy pics (relative to the star and grille), I'm afraid that render is not that far off.
