Of course, with these new technologies, getting distracted from driving is an instant. Although we must add that the Mercedes S-class will have an autopilot up to 130 km | h, I seem to have read

All these screens from the door panel to the infotainment system are bound to leave you with a migraine lol hopefully they have auto brightness because that’s a rather large distraction at night.

Future Mercedes interiors will be based on the Vision AVTR starting precisely from the S class

This thing? It has no interior, it has nothing inside, if this is going to be the S-class it is more than screwed. This is a poster (and a very bad one), to advertise a movie, of what Mercedes has done I think is the worst in the sense that it is being given a relevance that this piece of garbage does not have, interior? appears to be the outline of a lot of quarantined acid consumers.

Again, interior? what interior? the interior of a bathroom?

the interview with Sinkwitz was very clear
If this guy said that, he seems to me in another dimension, I do not want to sin from old vinegar but not only do I not see it, but the whole concept, timing, waste, and much worse the relevance! given to this ridiculousness amazes me

I’m getting old. Most aspects of what MB considers to be modern, are of zero intrest to me. To name some:
- autonomous drive;
- an interior consisting of large (touch)screens;
- ambient (interior)light ad absurdum;
- connectivity;
- design strategy that reminds me of matryoshka dolls, etc.

I wish everyone who’s excited about the W223, that his excitement and anticipation will be satisfied and rewarded at introduction date. I’ll pass.

If I ever passed on the S-Class the current Bentley FS would definitely be a runner up. Most everything else in this class just does not cut it for me personally, not enough substance with shallow history that can be seen in the details.
Right now my only complaint is the shutline.
The interior will come across as a big surprise I think.

^Let’s see what BMW is doing with it’s 7er. Could be a fine alternative this time around. Hopefully they don’t mess it up, by neglecting the 7er in favour of a SUV (X7) or a BEV (i7?).

I was checking the comments under that latest interior spy shot, on carscoops, and virtually all comments were negative (ugly door controls design, ugly tablet with cheap graphics) I think some fanboys here are overly optimistic.

For the record, the comments on carscoops (and others) were extremely negative last go around too when the W222 interior was first being shown in spy shots. The W221 saw vicious criticism when the fenders and interior were beginning to take shape as well. And more recently, BMW's gigantic grilles were almost universally panned yet sales are as strong as ever. Of course people are going to react negatively to such a drastic change in design. We go through this process every time.

Onward we go.

It's not a case of being stuck in the past and disliking change, I think BMW's "huge" grills look great on the 7 series and the X7 and thought so from the beginning.

I’m surprise the W223 is taking more design cues from the Vision 6 Concepts that debuted few years ago. I find it weird that they are using the AVTR concept to showcase the future of S class. It seems more of. Specialty concept more than anything

Did you meant not taking any design cues from Vision 6??

Even I have the same feeling, 6 had an amazing design which was less futuristic and more realistic. We may see some exterior elements like the grille on Maybach variant, but if 223 interior was more influenced from Vision 6 they it would have been a proper blend of classic, elegance & modernity. I remember Mr. Wagener mention about analog meter console by comparing the charm of a classic analog wrist watch which he was wearing. At least in Maybach variant they could replace the tablet instrument for analog type seen in ‘6’.
