Make me a hater , but even with the spyshots , W222 looked awesome !

When this pictures were leaked , I was in love

As for W223 , that front ugly camera , rear tail lights , front huge grill , and other things....Are a little no-no for me...I really hope I am wrong when full leaks arrive

Remember these clearly still have the photos stored in my old phone...

I also remember people were complaining about the design and so on and now I say 95 percent love the car and design.

I was one of those folks who had some issues with the exterior upon the car's debut. I wasn't crazy about the falling line on the side or how there was a reverse light on the bumper. In the interior, I thought the 2-spoke steering wheel looked odd and evoked big American cars of yesteryears and the general feeling about the interior was that it felt a bit too gilded.

But my opinion definitely took a 180 turn. The exterior lines look fantastic in person. The reverse lights were incorporated into the main rear light units in the US, so I wasn't that plussed. I actually now prefer the 2-spoke steering wheel as it truly fit with the interior's "personality." And while I still do consider the interior a bit too baroque, I found it particularly fetching when equipped with blue leather and sunburst myrtle trim prior to the facelift. The S Cabrio has been my favorite Benz to come out in the last 15-20 years, which in itself was a bit transformative as I was more into harder-edged cars rather than plush boulevard cruisers. So yeah, in my eyes, the upcoming 223 gen has some big shoes to fill.

This is one time where either the engineers and/or the bean-counters are to blame rather than the designers. Though, I'll give Wagener and his team all sorts of hell if the rear is terrible.

It’s now clear to see for everyone, that the hoodshutline and the connecting frontmask are painted in the same colour. Meaning: the grill is completely different from the current one and indeed will have rather thin chrome bars. For me this part of the car will never win a beauty contest.
The stance as such is lovely: yes, it’s a S Class...

Landgraf on Instagram: “Here you see Markus Schäfer #COO and chief of development of #Daimler AG with the new upcoming #Sclass series 223. General #Production…”
According to Markus Schafer , production starts next week :)

Forget 'old info', I will use report button now...
Please report the date when we can see the real S class. Im tired of seeing these freaking covered up cars. Mercedes please read GCF for once and listen to everyone here.

We want to see the damn W223!!!

I remember when those W222 pics came out, it was breathtaking and it proved it self in the market. First year U.S. sales were so good that it outsold the Lexus LS, 7-Series and A8 combined. Let that sink in for a min. That has never happened before. The interior and exterior and the drive were all so far ahead of them at the time. You could argue the W222 could go on for another year or two with MBUX added and a few other tweaks.

It must be an ulcer producing job to work on this W223 after that type of success. I truly think we're all going to love this car......after you take a day or two to study and take it in. I just can't see Mercedes botching this after the roaring success of the W222. Those first finished or official interior pics are going to cause the internet to catch fire. It will be loathed and loved all in the same comment threads all over the world. The wait is becoming excruciating.

Are you guys Stevie Wonder or what?
Ok , I get it . It is cool to be interesting this days and add low cost comments

BUT , this info is new for me , because when Wolfgang or whoever posted last week that PRODUCTION IS STARTING ON MONDAY , GUESS WHAT? MONDAY HAS PASSED !

NOW , DER_LANDGRAF posted that NEXT WEEK will start production. Not this week . So , I guess it is a further delay

So stop hate. I follow this topic since start.

DER_LANDGRAF posted this info and picture a few hours ago , not so "old" I guess...

If you've been following since the start then I don't get why keep posting the same things that have already been posted? There is no hate, it's common sense. Stop posting things that have already been posted. I don't get what's so hard to get about this, especially since you say you've been following the thread.

a protruding camera is cost cutting measure that they think we won’t notice nor care about but the hidden flip up camera is bad ass and besides being more practical it’s so James Bond
