@hannaz, overall exterior layout is very evolutionary as you told us some time ago regarding the MB strategic partner’s viewings. It's the details that’ll make or break the W223.

The W223 appears to have a slightly lower and longer bonnet but front and rear overhangs and greenhouse shape seem similar to the W222. It's the details, such as headlight graphics, bumper intakes and rear light shape, graphics and side profile character lines will help us decide if this will be an epic design like the W222.

Absolutely, that's what even I tried convey. W222 is now considered as a benchmark and a complete sedan design that has the elegance and stance to capture any heart. I haven't came across anyone who doesn't like it, no matter if he/she is any other brand lover. So W223 must take the bar higher is a safe way, hope MB Design team won't mess up with it. Anyway from all the reports here and what I got to hear directly, it's going to be another block buster car which will an evolution over 222 than a revolutionary out of box design.

So beautiful...better an evolution than a revolutionary design
W222 is an icon for elegance ..just not for kids taste

Whenever I see a W222 on the road i can't help but admire its design, it's a really elegant and graceful looking car. I am constantly amazed that it doesn't seem to age or look dated in any way, this car still looks modern and could be a design from 2020 and not from 2013. Mercedes could have even just given this car another facelift and keep it in production till 2023. The W223 I am sure is going to be an amazing car, it will probably once again raise the bar higher in the luxury car class. Mercedes will have thrown everything but the kitchen sink in this car. The Best or Nothing will become the This is the Best.

Would be interesting to have old and new grill side by side to see the real size.
Possible?

Disney+, netflix and so on with big displays, very good insolation from outside...the S class will become a movie cinema
Dont forget to order it with burmester sound for immersive audio and rear
curtains
Cant wait...i hope in fall it will be official already

Compared to 553 pages of W222 Spy thread we are running less with this one, hence we are still lot to go to take away the camo I guess . If I wasn’t wrong even the leaked pic of 222 from product film was out very close to its launch.

SPIED! - Mercedes-Benz 2014 W222 S-Class (Spy pics & info)

I've said this before, but I wish we, everyone would just post spy pics more uniformly. Meaning since we've already seen the roofline, hood and some of the side pillars already, there is no need to post anything that is a step back from that, I don't see the point. We've already seen more of the car in a few pages back vs what has been posted in the last few days. It makes for an unnecessarily long and boring thread. Each new batch of pics should show us something new. I'd rather the thread go dormant for a month and then be shocked at a new post of pics that actually shows us something new vs this keep it going mentality that doesn't yield anything new vs months ago. It's just rehashing the same old tired pics.

COMING S-CLASS GENERATION TO FEATURE PART OF THE VISION AVTR

No sooner had the Vision AVTR show car been presented at the CES 2020 in Las Vegas when the TecTalks from Mercedes-Benz announced that some elements of the vehicle could already be found in the upcoming S-Class of the 223 series. However, it remains unclear what will be done in detail here.

UPCOMING S-CLASS: ORDER RELEASE NOT EXPECTED BEFORE THE END OF 2020

From time to time, Mercedes-Benz concepts definitely show elements that will later be incorporated into the brand's series models. The Vision AVTR model presented at CES 2020 is no exception, as Mercedes-Benz recently revealed at the TecTalks in Las Vegas. Accordingly, you will already find the same in the new S-Class of the 223 series, which will probably not be released until late 2020. So far, however, the manufacturer has left open exactly what will be adopted.

VISION AVTR SHOWS NEW UX SYSTEM

If you look at the Vision AVTR, it is quite possible that parts of the new UX system will be offered directly in the upcoming S-Class, especially since the function presented in Las Vegas was already presented close to series production.

It is quite conceivable that the new generation of the S-Class of the new 223 series can be used to implement the projected elements directly on the user's hand. By simply lifting your hand, an interface is projected onto the palm with which the passengers can interact intuitively with the vehicle. With simple gestures, passengers can choose the right ambience soundtrack, for example.

It is certain that Mercedes-Benz is offering a revised MBUX with the new S-Class and has already made the jump from NTG 6.0 to NTG version 7.0. It remains to be seen which innovations or modifications will be made in detail. It is also certain for us that one wants to reduce the buttons in the interior with the coming generation of the luxury sedan.

It looks like the W223 grill is more vertical than the W222 grill. It appears to be more "bull nosed". This may be due to pedestrian safety concerns but I like the older, more slanted look better.

Unconfirmed at 100%, but I found out that supposedly the premiere of the W223 was postponed to autumn 2020. The reason for software problems.
