The chrome at the car above looks much more discreet than here:

I think the problem with the 7er's interior is that you could convince someone that that was the new 3er's interior.

I am surprised that the 740i/iL is not offered with X-drive.

Also, wow, that's a big jump in price, right?
I guess the price as shown must be related to some sort of Package. That's not the price of a base 7er. A 730d over 18.000 Euro more expensive than a S350d? No way, not in Germany or the rest of Europe.

WOW!!! That white M Sport package looks absolutely stunning!!!

Best M Pack ever.

Also seeing a lot of silver-colored trim in the interior. Is everything we see in silver color some sort of metal? Or are there parts that are silver-colored plastic?

These pics may seem boring but that's only because the car is very symmetrical in it's design. There's a lot of horizontal lines and not many bends and curves, the design is very straight forward, thus appearing to lack emotion in these pics. I won't show the comparisons pics, but when I put the front and rear interior pics side by side with it's competitors configuration pictures, the G12 appeared far more harmonious to my eyes. It's actually more Rolls Royce in it's layout.

Also, the mood lighting is said to be impressive in this car so there's that for accentuating character and emotional appeal.

I have to say after some zooming to that interior pic with my iPhone, I love it. The lower part of the dash and the central console feel softly linked like in the W222, and unlike the F30. Which is what it looked like in the leaked pics.

Worst part of these new pics is how similar the profile looks to the F01. But overall it looks superb. With the M Pack is probably the nicest sedan BMW has designed since E39.

IMO this car will have too simple interior for this class.

That was a well deliberated decision for a rather Apple-like approach. (Apple, you know that little rat shop with the simple-design products that hardly sell).

Beside that I find those leaks horrible. If they cannot control it in general then they should at least care for what leaks. No grainy pics, no misleading price tags. Arghhh.

I have no doubt the interior is assembled and finished with the highest standard, using the finest quality material, however the design of the interior doesn't seem to move forward enough. Note I am not including the infotatement systems.

No, not German. We are looking at Austrian prices here. And 7er variants for Austrian market.

Compared to MB S-class:

G11 750i xDrive: €137,935
S 500 4 Matic: €134,000

G11 740i: €107,690
S 400 4Matic: €110,230 (there's only 4Matic version of S400 available in Austria)

G12 740Li: €117,164
S 400 4M LWB: €116,780 (there's only 4Matic version of S400 available in Austria)

G11 730d: €100,445
S 350d: €91,880

G11 730d xDrive: €107,480
S 350d 4 Matic: €97,610

Quite ambitious pricing.

I'm thinking that many people (who don't take much interest in cars) will not even notice this is a new 7er.

People who don't take much interest in cars don't even know how the current 7er looks like. :D

But be sure the new 7er is much more noticeable than current one. It has much greater presence, and there is chrome / metal trim galore on the body (especially in Design Pure Excellence package and in darker body colors).

So I guess even people who don't take much interest in cars will notice the new 7er. At least there's better chance they'll do it than noticing & paying attention to current 7er. (y)

When it comes to exterior colors:
4 shades of gray (Arctic Gray, Magellan Gray, Singapore Gray & Sophisto Gray)
3 shades of black (Black, Carbon Black & Sapphire Black),
2 shades of white (Alpine White & Mineral White),
2 shades of silver (Glacier Silver & Kashmir Silver)
1 shade of blue (Imperial Blue)
1 shade of brown (Jatoba)

+ various Individual colors ...

Also, the mood lighting is said to be impressive in this car so there's that for accentuating character and emotional appeal.

So people should only drive the car at night?

I love this car.

And Singapore Grey. I believe this colour has only appeared on the M5 and M6 before.
