in a hot hatch, pricey as is, the i4 turbo makes sense and gets a pass. In a lux Merc sedan though....we’ll see.

If you turn of the system in the A 45, which you obviously can't, it wouldn't even be able to make a proper turn without crashing. It's just a ridiculous thing all around.

What if the E class will do the same? and others brands will follow? All of them will be dead for you?
Human kind will learn to adapt...like it always did. If people need a car.. (not just want) will still buy no matter what.

Well you asked about me first and yes the E would be dead to me also. I wouldn’t buy an E now because of the M550i. I don’t want an E63 AMG. People? I don’t care what other people do. I won’t be buying no matter what. A 4-cylinder won’t be in my garage as long as V8s and sixes are around.

That was my question...ok, so as long as the V8 and 6 are around , of course.
Since my business is about what people needs are...im on the opposite direction where i care what others needs and want...i bet the car industry is the same...since now, everybody wants to cut a lot and make big profits from almost nothing..but thats from business perspective..from personal view..at my age, i dont care anymore, i care about reliability safety and comfort ...so if the new i4 will be like Vw 1.2 tsi/1.4 tsi were back in the days....i will look somewhere else
I dont want to be an hypocrite since i order the S350d...i was just speaking in general

Thanks for posting this, very interesting indeed. If you add in the 6 and 8 cylinder models they count for 10% of C-class sales, which is the equivalent of the sale of the C200 model. So enthusiasts will definitely have a say if all these high end models become 4-cylinders, they will lose that USP and just become like another C180/C200 model, only with more power.

He too thinks it's a horrible little thing indeed, but to be fair MB re-adjusted to entire car after the initial press drives, so it's probably less horrible than what they originally planned to release.

The A45 is for drug dealers and criminal youth. But then again, so is the C63 AMG And those people don't care about a 4 pot or V8. As long as it smokes all cars around them, all is well and swell.
