I like it.

All the Mercedes that one requires, really. In terms of packaging, dimensions, array of possible amenities, etc. Add a slick 4 door sedoupe (maybe 2 door coupe/cab as well) and BEV versions and I'd be quite satisfied. il6, V8 and Diesels ? Wouldn't miss them at all personally. the iL4s' (also in PHEV form) are more than sufficient for a daily driver. And BEV versions would furnish refinement and immediately accessable mountains of torque.

Exterior seems to look quite well. I'm afraid the interior will disqualify this car, knowing how that turned out to be in W223. Unless of course one doesn't care as much for the interior as nit-picky-me ;)

The interior is the biggest concern for me, I am worried they will cheapen it a bit, as looking at spy pics of the door panels it has alot less trim (wood etc.) like in the current C-class.

Exterior will probably look quite nice judging by current spy pics and it will follow the latest Mercedes family look.

Exterior just seems stuck in past. I'm afraid MB is going to lose more sedan sales, as this just isn't that interesting. The dropping line on the current still has one of the best profiles and that added visual depth. This is like the E-class and lacks in anything eye catching.

I guess you guys have already seen it. Not surprissing, based on the spy pics.

It's going to be especially painful if this is a gorgeous car saddled with an all moped and sewing machine engine lineup.

I hope that the 43AMG will remain 6 cylinder. One of my neighbours has a C43 and GLC43. I prefer that engine's exhaust note to the S4 and M340i.

I worry about the reliability.

The C63 will have more than 500 hp and that is too much strain for a two litre four cylinder engine.

it will be interesting to see how the market accepts a i4 hybrid over s v8.

but i personally think as long as it is faster, no one will care, because more important are the mercedes and amg badges. heck it would sell even with only two cylinders.
I think the market will probably accept it. I guess a lot of purchases are fleet... and most actual customers don't care as long as it's fast enough..

This is probably my only concern. The old V8s from Benz are rock solid.... at the same time, we now live in an age where people lease their cars and want something new every few years.

People have been worrying about "too much strain for a 4 cylinder" for years now and none of the cars have suffered block failures or anything remotely like that. I think they've got it under control.

The better have got it under control.
