Very (pleasantly) surprised by the huge prestige gap, which seems slightly longer than the 3er's and even the E Class's

Goes totally against the current trend of shortening the whole front end of cars, or at least of transfering part of that length from behind the wheel to ahead of the wheel and harming the proportions (Ghost).

If its two banks of 4 cylinders then I am happy. But a drop in half capacity and the worst noise and refinement work against a 4pot.
In Europe, the last greatest C-Class was the pre facelift/PPF C63s.

When it comes to the prestige gap (prestige clearance in VAG-speak) in context with the entire architectural proportions of a car, the current ICE M-B sedans are difficult to top. The "izmo" image of the W213 really speaks volumes.

let's say that the front headlights of the rendering are very close to the official ones in my opinion

MOTOR AHUTORITY has published photos of the new c-class station wagon but it seems superfluous to post them as there is nothing new

Yeah... Unless official pics make me change my mind, right now it does not seem like this car is going to cause the 3er any trouble. Same case for the old and outdated A4.

^ Yes. :)

"Internally, Mercedes allegedly calls this vehicle an SUL, which presumably stands for sport utility limousine (think of this in the German sense of a sedan, rather than a stretched vehicle like in American parlance. Unfortunately, there aren't many additional details about this high-riding four-door, including when it might arrive."

"In 2023, based on the Mercedes EQS SUV (X296), a fully electric SUV or SUV Limousine on the EVA2 modular system may follow as a Maybach version."
