The question is why would they go through the trouble of using a whole interior of a Chrysler in the first place if they weren't basing the car on the same chassis. Maserati doesn't have that type of budget to do that. I can't believe it either, but there it is, a 100K Maserati based on Chrysler, again. This isn't the first time they've done this crap. The interior door panels look like a Maserati in that one shot above. Fiat must think high-end buyers are incredibly stupid to think they can do this. As I've said before, with the SUV sure they may be able to get away with it, people will be gaga over a Maserati "truck" and just buy it, but even then some will spot it for what it is. However with a known lust object like the Quattroporte they're going to fool no one. I predict this will fail miserably.
