Grecale [Spy Shots] 2022 Maserati Grecale

The Maserati Grecale (Tipo M182) is a front-engine, five-door, five passenger compact luxury crossover SUV (D-segment) manufactured and marketed by the Maserati subdivision of Stellantis, entering production at the company's Cassino Plant in March 2022. Internally designated model M182, the Grecale shares the company's Giorgio platform with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. The nameplate Grecale derives from the Mediterranean wind, Gregale.
unless i am missing something, the only American-ness found in the above stated cars were some shared Chrysler switchgear and the UConnect infotainment system. The latter of which was spread throughout FCA's offerings and still available today. And regarding who took the lead regarding UConnect, I don't if either the Italians or Americans took the lead in developing it or if it was something truly collaborative.

The Grecale doesn't have any Chrysler switchgear. That was the Quattroporte, Levante, and Ghibli. You're right on the UConnect5 software, although it's been reskinned to be Maserati-specific in this car.

Forcing the premium down your throat
Maserati thinks it's 1995 when Jaguar and them occupied a gap between MB/BMW/Audi and Bentley/Aston.

That gap no longer exists.

Covering a cabin in Napa leather and scattering a few Italian flag labels does not justify a 40-50% premium over equivalent cars by other brands.
