911 [Spy Shots] 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 first spy pictures

The Porsche 911 model series (pronounced Nine Eleven or in German: Neunelf) is a family of German two-door, high performance rear-engine sports cars, introduced in September 1964 by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany.
the motor will be a 3.8 liter flat-6 using the GT1 block still (thank goodness) with dry sump naturally putting out 450 horsepower.

What I read is the opposite, no more Mezger block, just a 9A1 derivative with lightened internals and dry sump.

So, the GT3 goes mainstream and the goodies are left for the RS?

The problem is the goodies - PDK, electric steering, 4 wheel steering...

If even the GT3 has no more manual, I think it the manual is dead for ever. The coming M4 and M2 are left. Good there'll always be the GT86.

7.34 min is probably a guess. 991 Carrera S PDK did 7.38 with only sport suspension and P Zero tyres. The new GT3 PDK on semi-slicks should be at least 10 seconds faster.

991 GT3 test cars have been spoted with P Zeros, so if there is any truth to that 7:34 lap time, it is possibly with the same tires.

Good estimations but only 3 seconds faster than the Carrera S on the ring (with the Pirelli)? I doubt it.
I would say 7:30 with the Pirellis :)

The info posted by Hot-Ice on the top if ths page (9), almost made me lose interest/excitment about the new 911 GT3. This new info just makes me so f*cking happy and excited:

"The engine in the 911 GT3 (911) is not the DFI 9A1 and it is not the Mezger. It is a bespoke motorsports block, and is the basis for the next generation Cup engine. It is a new engine built from scratch."

And what is actually funny for some and sad for others - (who buys the 2used ones) It's a Porsche! Depreciation is a word not connected to the famous sports car brand.

The 997.2 GT3 RS prices been creeping up recently with hardly any in the market here. They went from 120-130s to 140s. This should probably make that come down again.
