5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

I thought LCI g30 already revealed...why is this delay? Is there anyone with more info

Posted on January 8th.
It’s listed as appearing at the Brussels auto show.

Posted on January 8th...a bit later.
But debut for Geneva. But release imminent.

Once Scott had said it was going to get a debut at Geneva and the "release" was "imminent", it was safe to say it wouldn't be released at the time of Geneva, and neither was the release "imminent". :D

Yes. Did you read my statement?

The conversation went like this.

"Ah are you going to Brussels?"
"The new 5 Life Cycle Improvment will be showing"
"Ah debut then?" -"I look forward to seeing the new car in the press release"
Later....
"Sorry If you are going to Brussels then you will need to fill in NDA for the closed room"
"Official debut later this month. For Geneva?"

"Sorry I won't be going to Brussels"

There is a question mark there as I asked the question.

Oh, that bizarre conversation you recounted? The one where I replied and said I have absolutely no idea what the point was? I still don't:

No. The statement which I am talking about is where you post clearly "Debut for Geneva. Release is imminent".

Should add closed room for the LCI @ Brussels.
But debut for Geneva. But release imminent.

Give it up, Scott. You talk utter crap and I'm pointing this out so everybody else can see you for what you are.

This AZ render looks good, but not sure if the light shape and DRLs are entirely accurate. It will be definitely more handsome than the Pre-LCI. The thing that needs changing more on the 5-series in my opinion is the backlights, they too much like some Japanese or Korean models. Just changing the graphics will do wonders.

No AutoZeitung render ever looked good. This is the worst that can be done with all the spyshots that are available. The grill is awful, the lights are too thin. Bad job.

It will still have two shoulder lines? Before Mercedes' dropping line, now BMW's unjoined double shoulder line. Why can't they keep it simple straight German, but are trying to pull out a worse Lexus?

It is not only complex, but is also ugly how the surfaces change at the beginning. I...
Agree with you totally, this view of the front vendor where it begins, highlights the odd change in surfaces and lines which makes it look like its dented. It would have looked better if the character line and shape from the rear doors was carried through to the front doors instead of tilting upwards towards the upper dropping character line near the windows.

Well I think the G30 5-series looks great. But what the F do I know? I'm just an idiot according to Dr. Crunch Slaughtered just because I said COVID-19 instead of cerveza Coronavirus. Gee... Sorry doc. :sorry:

Anyway, probably it will be a very subtle facelift. So... are these renderings from Kolesa.Ru old news? Sorry in advance if they are.

It's like a sculpture, the way it reinforces the side, doing the curved straight, how it starts and twists as it disappears to appear again depending on how you look at it is great
