Return of the King? Maybach Coupé

Just looking at it w/o the badges, I wouldn't know it's a Maybach. That bit of negativity aside, I'd like to see more pics of this particular car so I can get a better sense of that blue hue. I have a feeling that this Cote D'Azure (?) Blue is going to be a favorite shade of blue for me. It seems to be similar to the stunning color that BMW chose for the 8er Concept.
Oh yeah didnt notice the Cote d Azure blue there..:facepalm:but yes I would also like to see more pics of this colour combo as it is the most luxurious imo..

And what is Maybach really? It is just marketing, they add few badges and few details and charge more. No real benefit there.
Maybach S limo has more room, but that is not enough.
Most distinguished Maybach is the latest one - G650. So we could see in future more special Maybachs.
Maybach models now are just for quick and easy profit, but to be honest I would do the same thing.

It doesn't help that it doesn't have the Maybach-exclusive wheels.

I hope that one day Mercedes Benz will build a real Maybach once again to compete with Rolls Royce and Bentley. Maybach has been relegated to a package rather than a genuine automobile and with reason they are making a killing, but there's nothing Maybach about that S coupe , but the name IMO.

If Maybach some day starts producing cars, they need to change design. 57 and 62 series were very similar with W220/W221

That's the issue I am having with how Daimler is going about Maybach. I think using the Maybach name on an extended wheelbase S-class is a safe way to re-introduce (yet again) the world to the Maybach brand. An EWB S-class at least provides more space which in of itself is unique offering withing M-B and gives off a sense of being more luxurious. This is good jumping off point to then follow it with something unique within the Daimler family. The EWB G-wagen Laudelet is definitely distinguished, but I feel the Maybach badge doesn't warrant being on something so rugged, however, but that's just my personal feeling. I just feel a fancier S cabriolet with no modification to the body type seems like a regression in how to approach the Maybach brand. At least the sedan and G-wagen made discernible changes to the body.

Maybach models now are just for quick and easy profit, but to be honest I would do the same thing.
If I was running the business side of Daimler, admittedly, I probably would too despite how cynical it'd be.

I for one would be extremely chuffed on the advent of a truly bespoke Maybach to rival RR but it may seem a tad of a long shot atm, maybe in the future sometime..but I still appreciate the idea of the Maybach S Class as it is a unique offering and is a distinguished model in its own right plus it keeps the S Class moniker in the limelight, however I am not to keen on the idea of making these limited edition runs such as the S650 Cabrio..

I'd like to see a 4 door convertible S-Class under the Maybach brand, and I think something like an SL shooting brake/coupe could work too along with a 4 seat high luxury Maybach GLS 650.

Matski, get out of my head! I've harped about a production version of the Ocean Drive concept, and it'd be a perfect offering with a Maybach badge. It'd be quite the foil to RR's Dawn. And an uppity version of the GLS vs. a G-wagen makes more sense for the sub-brand.

Lovely blue. I need more pics!!!!!!!

It would be awesome, but I'd worry about chassis rigidity. Even the S-class convertible isn't as stiff as I would like. There's some noticeable cowl shake.

Mercedes Maybach Supercar Concept Rendered

Mercedes-Maybach-Supercar-Concept-2.webp

Vision Mercedes Maybach 6 Concept was the most futuristic model from Maybach division till now. Sadly the concept won't come as a production model anytime soon. But South Korean artist Hawan Park published a rendering based on Vision Mercedes Maybach 6 Concept. His idea of a supercar from Maybach division which he named as Mercedes-Maybach ECHO. The ECHO get new carbon fibre grill with new diffuser, slim headlights and a new hood ornament. He didn't remove gull wing door which asthetically looks awesome. Like the front, rear is also sleeker and stylish along with a new design for wheels. The interior design took inspiration from orginal concept model and comes with a sound tunnel and a hologram projector. We hope that Mercedes Maybach might introduce a radical supercar like this in future.

Mercedes-Maybach

In November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), positioned as an upscale version akin to the more sporty Mercedes-AMG sub-brand.
