Return of the King? Maybach Coupé

I don't know what is the purpose of new Concept...Last time, after the Maybach 6 they released S650 Cabrio now they may release S650 Maybach Coupe ?

^ Believe it's a Vision concept, giving an outlook what to expect from Mercedes-Maybach in the future, in general terms. More details should become available on Saturday, August 19, and during the reveal in Pebble Beach, California.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is designed as an electric car. Thanks to its four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, it features all-wheel drive. The output of the drive system is 550 kW (750 PS). The shallow underfloor battery has a usable capacity of approx. 80 kWh. This allows performance characteristics typical of a sports car (acceleration from 0‑100 km/h in under four seconds, top speed electronically governed at 250 km/h).

Whilst I am really excited to see this concept but at the same time it would be a bit repetitive if it is 'another' Maybach 6 concept..but if the interior is a preview for the next S, now that will be something..

I was fortunate enough to see one in person in Hong Kong, absolutely amazed by the shear size and width of the car, and how low it is to the ground.

^ Might be happening already? The new Mercedes-Maybach S seems to feature more filigree lower front bumper corners, possibly inspired by the MM 6?



AMS / Stefan Baldauf caught 4 Bach's recently, one white, 2 black, one selenite/silver with more subtle, filigree chrome lower bumper edges.

Certain understandable dramatic liberties notwithstanding, this cars' flanks are simply pristine. Here, "Sensual Purity" is far more than mere unsubstantiated lip service. It is the embodiment of such.
