It make sense because the E is right in the middle. To get an AMG V8 on the car side you have to go to the upper level cars - AMG GT 4-door, S/SL so the E should get an I6 IMO, not that 4-cylinder mess. It's the CLE that I think will be stuck with the 4-cylinder.

M

Yeah offering the twin turbo charged V8 in everything didn't make much sense. C- S class. It was the same with the naturally aspirated V8's from memory.

Don't worry about it I read about an EV BMW M5 years ago so so I guess anything can happen!

Hate to say this, but Mercedes-Benz is becoming the German General Motors. Lots of recalls and if there's a way to f#ck it up, then they will f#ck it up.

Well I guess they can't change your mind then, possibly. All I would say is the AMG One (not here I'm taking elsewhere) was taking a hell alot of fire. But they did turn it around, and in over X amount of decades of exposure and ownership of Mercedes Benz passenger cars the one thing I individually learned is there's nothing like them. I've had Audi's too both petrol and diesel, but there's no comparison for me and that includes my siblings.:)

Apologies in advance if these are repost.

Those side creases look contrived. When is MB going to do something evolutionary with their sedan design?

what I don't understand is that the Mercedes top management kept the cockpit hidden until recently, as if they had designed a revolutionary interior and instead we discover that it will be similar to Eqe and Eqs

5 Series will look much better imo. That EQ-esque front end looks like crap, the rest of the car looks flawless though.

I don't even know if the E class looks or will look good according to that render, what I know is that 5 series of the render is nothingness itself

Avarvarii illustrations look mostly good but I think are not always accurate in their details and should be treated with a grain of salt. I somehow think the W214 wont have the black colour joining the lights and grill and it will be the same like an S-class and C-class but the light graphics will probably be have 2 circular LED elements at the bottom.

For the moment, indeed the biggest problem is the black surrounding of the grill (and the light stripe) which I doubt to come as well.
Let's remember the very similar tail lights of the 222-205-213 Vormopf times.
Actually they did it way better with the differentation at 223-206, so there's hope for a third version in a subtle way, hopefully with chrome and not matching lights.
