Iconic and beautiful.
Agreed, the F10 is still aging gracefully in both pre and post-LCI forms. Especially, if they are well maintained. Also, I think this generation is the last time where 5 Series has a proper lean body before getting a bit bloated by the time that pre-LCI G30 has been released which thankfully the LCI version has sharpened and tightened up on some of the bloatedness from an original design.

It remains the last beautiful 5er

This thing is not aging.

I think the F10 has a sweetest face throughout the 5 Series family. Even with the aggressive treatments from M Sport package and full M model, it stills has a warm and welcome looks.

Indeed. It was a safe attempt after the expressive but yet hell well designed E60.
It was so clean and balanced that it lives aesthetically a very long life.

The G30 is when they were already losing the plot.

I still hope the Toyota Camry “leak” is only a clever render joke.

First impression is terrible. But that usually is the case with a new BMW.

Hope it works in the end. The rear lights look generic AF though :/

It also might be that we see just the upper part which makes it look that bad.

Looking at it closer it’s very 7er like, where IMO the rear looks good overall as whole view (except the hight ofc.)

I’m more concerned about the thin C pillar and the raised rear door.

Seems like it has an exaggerated greenhouse with the thin pillars, ^

very eager to see it unveiled now.

The problem with G30 pre-LCI design was that headlights were similar to the F30 facelift ones and the taillights were similar to the F30 pre-LCI ones. So basically parts from lower end model.

Apart from Camry, I think the G60 leak is also resembles the rear end of current Corolla ALTIS.

Best looking Corolla in ages. Notice that unlike Mercedes, Toyota went for a crome strip bar between the taillights, which IMO works a lot better than a faux light bar connecting the taillights.

Munich. Every time a Leak involves a BMW shot through a potato lense from A plant in China.

Please, spare me all the drama & hysteria. Same story again & again. Every time a new BMW model's partial & low-res photo is leaked.

Wait till the car is officially revealed. It's more than fine. It looks much more modern & sharper & more aggressive looking than facelifted G30 5er. But still oozes class (eg. something E60 & F10 lacked a bit). And it's much more conventional compared to the G70 7er exterior. Interior is no surprise either. It follows the design of all the current recent BMWs.

To me the G60 5er exterior looks like a mix of E39, E60 & G30, interpreted in a very sharp & contemporary way. I like the E60-like sharp lines very much. Although it seems like it crosses into the Lexus exterior design territory a bit when viewed from certain angles.

Overall ... It's a sharp design but still classy & safe at the same time (especially when compared to some other recent BMW models). What bothers me though are some weird mixes of rounded & angular styling approaches on some of the exterior details. But that's not new to the BMW contemporary styling language. The exterior styling coherency is missing on the G60 too. Interior design is much more coherent.

Bah man… spare us the company guy official discourse. We have all been around for some time here.

We have had a few recent BMW designs looking worse than what came before, so it’s not like people are becoming crazy or something.

I keep saying: What passes on this forum for design opinion is just hot air passed by the layman.

BMW designs try to change (if not break) the mould of the traditional sedan, at least––if not entirely successfully. For people who can't see that, there is always the safe comfort of the familiar. I wouldn't worry about any so-called design opinions concerning any aspect of this car, not until we see the final thing.
