X6 [Renders] 2020 BMW X6 (gen III)

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV by German automaker BMW. The BMW X6 is the originator of the sports activity coupé (SAC), referencing its sloping rear roof design. It combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (styling featuring a sloping roof).

It gives me vibes to the first gen X6. Which remains the best looking SAC to this day IMO.

That was the main goal, after the too anaemic F16.

Btw, G06 is going to be a gem. Especially in X6M (Competition) form. GLE Coupe & Cayenne coupe & Q8 better watch out! BMW are forming & setting the car in a way to repeat the success of the 1st gen E71 X6.

That stance is only comparable to the Urus right now. The GLEgg and the Cayennegg look just like that, an egg. The Q8 and Velar look great, but have different design approaches to this X6.

The current and the old X4 are simply turds.

Very interesting the air intakes in the side with that cut in the front fender looks sporty, they make the whole profile completely different to the X5, even the front doors, with the new grill and obviously all the 3/4 rear different make another car with respect to the X5, welcome the differentiation and apparently so far is a very good job.

In addition to what seems to be internal lighting of the grill also the vertical bars are thicker, more imposing and aggressive than in the X5, on the lighting of the grill, in the photos looks very good (just as well as in the new M concept), the characteristic shape of kidneys seems to benefit from this detail taking advantage of it better than other designs of other brands, but I will reserve my opinion because it is definitely something to see on the street during the night in person, it is something without a middle point, or is very corny or extremely cool.

Yes, that back!! first impression: Sensational surprise, being seen novel I liked at the first glance, perfectly resolved, very very attractive, modern, mature, sporty, striking, I have no more adjectives, I love what I see, I had the same stroke of joy that when I saw the X5 for the first time

I am glad to see the rear quarter light is not like the X4 which ruins that profile to be more of a flatter SUV than a Coupe.
This looks much better resolved.
I certainly hope the light grilles are better resolved than the E71's you see scraping off the floor on the streets of Berlin. Those r damn helluva ugly yo!

Already released all the chips, just need to give us a profile picture to know if we give a bottle of whiskey as a congratulation to Hussein

Only in that very last pic above I can see that the grille is connected. It's rather subtle on this one.

Overall, I like it. Great effort in making it not look like an X5 coupe.
I do not like the graphics of the taillights though. They bend the wrong way.

That rear end is little much, as those side vent are too much. Still though it has the potential to be hott.

M
Exactly those details that you mention, plus some others are in my eyes those that bring the "hottnes"

For a silly segment (apologies to any SUC owners), this looks decent. Probably the best looking of the lot.

Thus far....

1) gen 3 X6
2) Velar or Cayenne Coupe
3) X4
4) Q8
5) GLC Coupe

4) Urus....it just looks stupid.

5) next gen GLE coupe...where the legit SUV version looks handsome, the spy pics lead me to believe the coupe is more akin to a dog's dinner.

That said, illuminated grilles are objectively dumb.

I think BMW is trying for a record, how many horizontal lines you can put on a rear end.

I read somewhere they are really trying to appeal to the Asian market by drawing influence by items of cultural significance. More specifically here they have been inspired by the famous Lapis Legit dessert, otherwise known as 'The Thousand Layer Cake'.
