probably to do with this: measured weight - 2,658 kg - and this, €30k more than a Q7 V8 TDI.

The Rover 75 was a great little front wheel driver. The only problem was that it was a ROVER!!

Now back on topic, thanks.

- 100 grand tat.

plus the usual JLR deliberate deception about factual matters like boot space, with Land Rover quoting 909 litres, which is patently a lie.

- that's because they are, planet Real Engineering, whereas the R/Rover comes from planet Tat.

Mit seinen Ganzjahresreifen mit M+S-Kennung steht er bei einer Vollbremsung aus Tempo 100 nach gut 40 Metern, Q7 und X5 bereits drei Meter früher.

- 40 metres! That's Chinese car maker territory!

3 seconds loss of the sports car F-type to a base 911 Cab around Bedford Autodrome, now 3 metres extra stopping distance of the Best SUV in the World, 2.7 tonne 'new' €110k Range Rover. JLR is officially the crappest car maker... in the world, as Clarkson the paid shill would never be caught saying on his JLR adverts, sorry, Top Gear programme.

Kilcrohane, have you ever thought about starting your own website or forum, face book page etc?

no, not yet. Besides, I wouldn't want to be responsible for giving the likes of Betty Swollocks a coronary. Then again...

Maybe a bit too big

Don't know who it's from Marcus. I think it's just a show car. From Ultimate Auto.

What would you expect from a German publication, no way are they going to admit the RR is the better vehicle, which it is, it's also in a market level above the cars they tested it against.

I was in Moscow a couple of weeks ago, there are already a fair number of new RR's on the road, yet you never see an X5 and only a few Q7's.

O.K. I give up, what the hell are you talking about? Which German publication and why would vehicle preferences in Moscow be relevant?

Didn't you notice in the post I quoted the article from autozeitung.de?

Moscow's interesting because it's the most RR'd place I've ever been and the new one has already proven popular, I was seeing new ones everywhere.

No, because you did not regarding the article.

Regarding Moscow, now that is interesting. I have been in a lot of places all over the world (including NZ) but have never been to Russia. Interesting that Moscow would seem to be leading the charge with the new RR. They are just now being delivered in the Northeast USA. One of the Director's at my place of employment has just received his, although I have not seen it or had the pleasure of a ride yet. I'll post some of my observations in the not-to-distant-future.

better put those glasses on, it's pretty clear that I quoted a post from Kilcrohane (reply 421) which included the article from autozeitung.de

In Russia the RR is king, followed by the Land Cruiser and Lexus twins, the Mercedes GL, Volvo XC90 and Discovery, the other German SUV's are rather conspicuous by their absence. I was pretty surprised by this when I first started travelling there nearly 7 years ago.
