Range Rover 2012 (L405) Range Rover spy pics

The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover, a marque and sub-brand of Jaguar Land Rover. The Range Rover line has been in production since it was launched in 1970 by British Leyland. Additional models have been launched under the Range Rover name, including the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, and Range Rover Velar.
Not that bad, pretty good actually.. :)

I wonder if the LWB is purposed to battle against GL & X7, or is it just to add space for the rear passengers?

It's obvious, this is what happens when BMW designs the last one...this new one looks like a Chinese or Russian clone.

The current one actually does date back to December 1997/1998(even though face-lifted), which was before BMW sold Land Rover. Wolfgang Reitzle is responsible for its basic design almost 15 years later.

Something tells me that these companies tend to allow artists to view upcoming models in secret and then draw their own interpretation away from the viewing site. It just happens that whoever did that render has great memory, or had access to an exposed L405 prototype, but chose to make a render against taking a picture. I know that Lexus did that in 2004 with the current LS, in which an artist was shown a full-body prototype and then allowed to sketch an image of it.

Yeah, i mean just look at the front end every spit of the front on the render is in that production model, even that lower black bar is the exact same

Me thinks Land Rover will have the best looking SUV range pretty soon. Hopefully they've kick started a trend of manufacturers making product cars that have all the eye candy seen on concept cars.

Prime time can't be far off. The mules only have light masking tape. Clumbsy of Landrover to keep units out in the open like that.

Out goes the rotary knob AT. Good riddance too since it does not jive with LR/RR's "rugged" character. But the overall feel of the cabin is too sterile in appearance. It doesn't have that "hunting lodge" feel that the current one has.

It might be.

But some how it looks unfinished at the rear. Fuel cap, C & D pillar all seems off don't they?

are those really vents or just strake lines on the door? And is "strake" a real word or did I just imagine it?

Need to see higher-res pics before I make an informed judgment.

While the exterior looks great from an extent the interior on these pics just seem to lack the luxurious and uniqueness of the current range rover it just doesnt set itself apart
