The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class (marketed as Mercedes-AMG SL since 2022) is a grand touring sports car manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 1954. The designation "SL" derives from the German term "Sport-Leicht", which translates to "Sport Light" in English.
This, ehh this, seems to be born from R129, chassis and the rear roof and the body of an Grosser, the two that he liked the most and made one with a V12 engine, it had an air of the Bentley coupe of that time time, there is no denying that it is unique....

That’s because this car was the result of a design challenge set for Paul Bracq, the man behind the original Mercedes-Benz 600, as well as the famous W113 SL Pagoda.
The legendary designer was asked how he pictured a coupe-cabriolet version of the 1967 Mercedes 600 might look. He quickly drew up six concepts, and the favorite ended up being built by Karl Middelhauve and his team at Classic Car Restorations.
In its simplest form, the car is a combination of a 2002 SL roadster and a 1967 Mercedes-Benz 600 (W100), also known as the Grosser. The base car wasn’t just any old SL, though. In fact, this restomod is founded on the very rare 2002 R129 SL600 Silver Arrow, a special edition model of which only 100 were produced.

Not even a month ago, I heard a famous youtuber who was testing an R129 SL say that you could drive it in "cool" mode with the anti-roll bar down, or safely at the touch of a button with the bar extended, he did not know that it is automatically deployed when detecting a loss of the center of gravity, one of the most notable advances in safety and the most "magic" ones at that time, but there are still people who did not find out....
