Simply put - no. The sizes of the seats are completely different, with the seats and tracks if the R129 being much larger. The airbags won’t work due to lack of power source.

The R129 is still a very safe car today thanks to developmental over-engineering.

This is my favorite, literally and textually this one in particular, it has the perfect wheels of the ideal size, neither small, nor exaggerated, only current and they fit as gloves, the precious color and after that detailing seems 0 km, I love it

Throwback to my old SL55. It was a rocket ship daily driver for 3 years. I had a frustrating time getting one at sticker price because it was the hottest car on the market for 2-3 years at market introduction.

This summer I plan on getting another one; I’ll be doing a coilover conversion and removing the ABC system entirely.

It's not an unattractive car. My problem with is that it looks like a heavily facelifted version of the predecessor the R230. Both appear the have a near identical roof shape and proportions.

Exactly..The best part of the R230&231 is the sleek roof line and silhouette and a R231 is like a modernized R230 for me.

The R129 still stands as #1 after the original. This design just doesn't get old or tired.

The design and shape is iconic as the Ferrari 355. It’s my favourite SL because it’s the one that I saw most often growing up as a child.

However, the W113 is the one that I consider most beautiful. It’s small, compact, simple and is a stunner from every angle regardless of whether the roof is up or down.
