7 Series [Official] The New BMW 7 Series

The BMW 7 Series is a full-size top-of-the-line luxury sedan produced by BMW. Officially introduced in 1977, it is the successor to the E3 "New Six" sedan.
True, the rear resembles more of an old E37 BMW 7er, the shape etc. than an old S-class.
But in the one with the Mercedes eblem it somehow crossed my mind that it resembled somewhat to an old S-class.

I guess it's too far fetched to see for alot of people but perception could be different by person, I saw it somehow. And I post it whether I was the only one, it's not about nitpicking at all just perception.
What's about to nitpick? I really like the car and from the post of Ralfd, it can only be better!:usa7uh:

What's the E37?

I can remember: E23, E32, E38 and E65?

What's the asking price for the entry model??

Germany:

730d: 69.5k Eur
740i: 75.5k Eur
740Li: 82.5k Eur
750i: 90.0k Eur
750Li: 94.0k Eur

:t-cheers:

etc

No 745i/d ?

In my opinion there will be no 745d - the engine was to heavy and with the turbo engines the 6-cylinder will produce much better perfomance with less fuel consumption. Maybe BMW will introduce a second diesel engine. But I have no idea. :t-hands:

No 745i/d ?

+300HP I6 VTT diesel will do the trick.

V8 diesel didn't sell as well as BMW expected - the main market for it was Europe but still the sales were slow. 730d sold much, much better ... Customers who wanted more performance opted for 750i instead.

Instead of V8 diesel the Hybrid version of 7er will be offered. Better millage, better performance than V8 diesel. :usa7uh:

What's the drag coefficient value for new 7er?

730d: Cw = 0.29
740(L)i: Cw = 0.30
750(L)i: Cw = 0.31

All models: A = 2.41 (A = frontal area in square meters)

As you know drag resistance = Cw x A

:t-cheers:

Eg:
E65/66 7er: Cw = 0.29 (A = 2.38)
S-class: Cw = 0.27 - 0.30 (depends on model), no data for A
LS: Cw = 0.26 - 0.27 (depends on model), no data for A
A8: Cw = 0.27 - 0.29 (depends on model), no data for A

Someone know if there will be M package ?
So no 745d and maybe no 745i? It would be nice if there is option between the 740-750-760, like V10 755 :)

V10 755? If it would appear I think they'd call it m7 :usa7uh:
That would be really NICE!
Any new news on that 8 speed gearbox?? :eusa_pray

Has anyone seen nighttime images of the interior?
I have not yet seen any, and I would love to see shots of the ambient lighting in the new 7er...

The debut in 7er mild-hybrid in late 2009.
760(L)i & 735d are also coming in 2009.
And some new stuff will be first featured in 760(L)i.
xDrive option coming as well for MY 2010 (Europe).

Can we spect M Package as standart for 760i? Or better, Will we see an M package?.

hardly 6.3, downsizing is key now, expect a sub 6.0 V12, more like 5 or 5.2 with twin turbos,
