This is probably the best colour and spec combo for the new 5-series. This dark blue with the silver grill looks good.
Thanks. I wasn’t aware that there’s a difference but expected the crystals to be standard.
But you can order this (crystal interaction bar) only for i5. The 5 Series with combustion engines does not have this option. Only that cheap looking ambient lighting. That looks so cheap. I am sure everyone will order the crystal bars after seeing this.

Based on the German configurator at this moment, the crystal interaction bar is standard on the plug-in hybrid models: 530e and 550e. But none for the 520i and 520d.I have been told at my local dealer that the light bar will be available from the first quarter of 2024.
that sucks, cause the crystal bar looks alot better than the ugly ambient light strip,Based on the German configurator at this moment, the crystal interaction bar is standard on the plug-in hybrid models: 530e and 550e. But none for the 520i and 520d.
The base ambient light strip looks so dull and cheap. It does not blend well with the rest of cabin design.that sucks, cause the crystal bar looks alot better than the ugly ambient light strip,
A 530e with 60mile electric only range if BMW launch one, will be the sweet spot. They clearly want to push people towards the PHEV and the BEVs. But at the end of the day, most people will buy the 520s because it's the cheapest entry point into a 5er.
