I wasn't so sure, but now I like it more and more, it's superb

So BMW decided to save money on the AC/DC-charging sockets and went into the i3-part catalogue and took the lower cover for the DC-plug only. Good luck to not get water into the AC-socket.

It was too hard to make it in the premium way like the iX and i4..

It’s a digital render. But it’s still the actual car that will make production.
Yes, but It is a fairly flat digital render so it does not reflect total reality but rather reveals what its final lines will be like.

A patent design does not show a reality, only an idea of it.

While patent drawings can be notional (as broad as possible to offer the widest protection, but narrow enough not to be contested), these are design registrations, they very much have to represent the design of the car to be relevant. They simply lack perspective and some immaterial details (wheels for instance are covered under different design registrations).

Right, the lack of perspective is what separates it a little from reality.

I would add to Martin’s wish list the removal of the stupid chrome inserts in the rear bumper, the addition of some nice rims and fixing the front overhang.
