You can tell these people apart from just a short glance at their appearance.
The Ellectric magazine description is as youngsters would say - cringe... yet doesn't surprise me one bit in this day and age.
Maybe it's time for another "OK, Boomer" campaign, BMW ?

I just realized that it is 9 cm longer than the new E-Class? The Chinese L version of this will be huge...

Apparently this generation 5er won't have a Chinese L version, which is also one of the reasons why it is so long (same with the 7er), and yet most of the extra length has somehow gone into the overhangs.

Interesting, you are probably right, if we take into account the development of the "L" versions we are talking about saving millions, more profits from each car

Just like the mania with the door handles, the shut lines etc, I perceive a theme with the overghans, I don't know, some of the most beautiful cars in history have them in abundance.

I understand that there are cars that look wonderful with the wheels well on the tips as for example. the Mini, the AC Cobra and so many others, but it never struck me as a trait that would go against so many other cars.
Here from what I can appreciate and according to my criteria, with the 5 and the 7, they act as a placater of the central mass, purposely giving it greater visual length

Wouldnt she be a reason to buy the car?
I don't know who she is and/or why it would be decisive to buy the car or not, I just know that it looks good in the photos (sorry for the off-topic)

One of your criteria for liking BMW design in the first place has to be the RWD proportions -- compared to, say, a FWD-based Audi which will typically have a shorter prestige gap and a longer front overhang due its architecture. And yet when BMW don't quite comply with these standards which they set for themselves (e.g. G60 vs G30), somehow those standards suddenly vanish into thin air, suddenly it doesn't matter anymore, and you're calling anyone who points that out hateful and maniacal?

No one claims the wheels should be in the corners like on a Mini, that is pushing the argument to the extreme; no, the wheels should be exactly where they belong for the proportions to look optimal, which is one design trait BMW has been especially good at up until recently. You constantly fighting tooth and nail against anyone who might have anything objectionable to say, finding excuses no matter what evidence is brought forward, just makes you look like you are in a religious type of cult, in which case I'm afraid your criteria are irrelevant since you approve of anything without distinction.

Post of the year so far.

Like those who follow Musk, or the STAR... so it is written, so it comes to pass.

I don't see anything in my post that deserves the rudeness of yours, in addition to the huge take out of context of my words and comments in general regarding the car and what I was answering in the most pleasant way possible, giving an opinion and nothing more based on my criteria on what I think I can observe, with which you may not agree but not disrespect something that is daring on your part and that in no case have I done with you or with anyone in this thread.

I only gave my vision, I did not say that it is worse or better, I explained what it seems to me
and you're calling anyone who points that out hateful and maniacal?
Do not put words in my mouth that I never said, that speaks clearly of the absurdity of your unfounded post and answer, I never used the word hateful????, you invented that and the word "mania" is colloquial here, but since you think that the universe is your country, you will never understand that this is a world forum, you just have to read my post to see that it is made in a joking tone, but if you are closed, see what you want to see.

When I said that the proportions of the car are optimal, where and when?, show me

Your response is irrelevant, full of vices and with nothing to do with anything, just bad intentions against mine, in which I was giving my opinion on something like any other argument, and to be clear I only defend what I believe, I present my opinion and I not deny anyone's, I only offer my point of view that is as valid as anyone's, I do not excuse anyone or anything, if you want to hate the car, hate it, if you want to hate the brand, hate it, but don't come at me with stupidity. By the way I don't give a f@ck what you think if your head is that close.

Unfailing, appears right there every time, you didn't even read my post, rejoice
Why would I read that bullshit? You aren’t saying anything different. All you do is cry about how someone is not understanding or qualified to talk about BMW…..that is if they don’t like the BMW in question.

You are both failing and unfailing at the same time. A neat, but unimpressive trick.

Unnecessary, unpleasant reading.
You will never argue about a car, only argue

Yet when someone does “argue” about a car you make it about you or the other person. You’re a total hypocrite and phony, and you stay triggered.

I can't comment on what I think about the cars I see in a car forum? I have to agree with those who don't like something that I do? It doesn't matter, it's rhetoric.
