Sheer projection. This cult, insane love of anything BMW. Can’t accept that others who actually buy the brand don’t like these ugly cars. So it’s whatever you need to tell yourself. Progressive, innovative, more modern don’t mean shite when you’re looking at an ugly car. Period. Doesn’t matter how many times you say it. It has presence us another one, a warthog has presence also. So does a mole on your face. BMW could literally wrap a turd in cellophane and it would be accepted.

I am curious to see the final selection models that failed to cross the finish line. i7 and iX influences to a retro investigation with diamond shaped full facia kidney grille.

Curious about this? Care to elaborate?

But here we are talking about an era where BMW had the strongest design language and amazing visions from a designer perspective. The E60 was striking but ahead of its time.
Now they are „reheating food”, mixing what’s arround on the market and what’s left in the basement from current lame designs.

And Mercedes are not doing the same? IMO Mercedes have been reheating for decades now and moving the bar very little.

BMW (I can understand why many purists don't like it) have moved the bar allot even if they have copied from others.

That is true about Mercedes mot moving the bar as much, problem is the more BMW “moves the bar” the sh gets uglier.

And that's the beauty of opinions. To each their own.

I'm just a bit annoyed at how toxic these threads have become.

Yup. Only a few to blame here. One of them is a 'BMW fan' who has to give the green light on saying wether we may like something or not.
I think this is just your classic double standard once again. When some members post like a bot and praise whatever it is that has a BMW logo on it, some others just laugh at it.

Which is quite the same you have been doing all life here with the MB fans, btw.

To be honest, think we're all to blame. Even I've done it in the past.

It’s nice to see someone acknowledging what could be done better. It’s true we all say silly things from time to time.

No kidding we should pay the mods a beer each month for being in charge of handling this all.

Such a cool car, definitely the interior is much better than last model i wouldn’t say the same about the exterior
IMG_2491.jpeg
Yeah the interior is better if you like having to reach out to a screen and go through a menu to turn on the heated steering wheel, instead of pressing a button on the steering wheel. It is also better if you like going through multiple menu's in the screen to change adaptive cruise control follow distance instead of pressing a button on the steering wheel.

Also flipping the interior door handles upside down is such a simple thing, it was cool when Audi first did it in the A8, but BMW doing now to me just seems like they just copied it straight over from them. Same thing with the flat bottom wheel, it was already a trend 7 years ago when the G30 came out, I was happy they didn't go for it then, but now they did, and they are super late. Maybe they saw companies like Nissan doing it and felt like they finally had to jump on the bandwagon.
