I really like the 3dr...and I like the 0-60 for the 120i! It is perfect! Were all these new technologies offered in the previous 1er? They seem really innovative!

As we already knew from the U.K. data, there is no word of 123/125d and 135i. 130i unchanged @ 265hp and no HPI as in E60/61 LCI.

I got the confirmation some changes engine wise are coming in September. Still no details yet.


IMO 116i & 130i will be updated with HPI engines, and some additional engine choices will be offered (eg. 123i / 125i with around 200PS - will debut in 2er cabrio first).

Great improvements indeed. Even LEDs in the back....now the 3er sedan/touring and X3 (?) are the only ones without LEDs?

I heard this little birdie twitter as well There will be some tech upgrades for the 1er (and the 5er, again) in Sept 07. 116i combined with Efficient Dynamics will have an rumored output of 122hp.

True. Beside I4 engines the 5er will also get some goodies facelifted 6er will bring. While 1er will get some 2er cabrio new features (incl. updated / new engines).

M Package seems to be unchanged besides new kidney grille and headlights of course. Official pic of 3dr Limited Sports Edition, only 2000 will be build. I like the rims

I just did a quick PS to spot the differences between pre-FL and FL M Package. As mentioned earlier, I can't spot a difference besides grille and headlights?
Are there some lynx-eyed specialists out there to help me out?

The funny thing is, I had the same impression. So I checked the dimension sheet and guess what: the 3dr and the 5dr have the exact same exterior dimensions. So I decided to put them together, check this out:



Hope, you enjoy the image swap so the whole greenhouse remained unchanged. Even the Hoffmeister Kinck is the same. So that's why they could easily drive around in prototypes just with a door handle sticker on it...
