M3/M4 BMW E90 M3 Sedan (Official pics & info)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
ok, its computer pics and not very authentic but this is the color I would pick

Honestly, the rear is lacking. I don't like the rear lights. The front is great because of the coupe front but overall this car doesn't excite me like the RS4 did and especially C63.

Funny becuase M3 E90 excite me more than M3 E92 and C63 did.

Looking sensational! I can't believe how cohesive and well proportioned those wheels look on the car. The Coupé is more beautiful but this is more handsome. So it all boils down to... do you want your M3 to be a boy or a girl.

The cabrio will be the best looking one of them all IMO. Especially if the CF roof really makes it to production.

LoL, I doubt that very much. Sounds extremly expensive. Besides CF roof is a trademark for Coupe's so the chance is extremly slim for the Convertible.

I love the idea though.

That would be some very exotic engineering for BMW to pull a folding CF roof out the bag for the cabrio. Since a 335i Cabrio can run 60K whats another 15-20 for a M3 Cabrio with a trick roof....?!? Its only money.

It's looking very nice, I love it. Now with the new Audi RS4 coming up soon (and looking hot as well), I don't see how the Lexus IS-F is supposed to "compete" against these three beautiful German performance machines when it has RICE written all over it. :D

Bruce will kill you! :D

PS: I see you still didn't manage to do something about your font size...;)

BMW documents confirm 7-speed gearbox for M3

We were disappointed to see that BMW launched the new M3 Sedan with only the six-speed manual gearbox when we know that there’s likely to be a new dual-clutch gearbox in the works. We now have confirmation that a seven-speed gearbox is planned for the M3 Sedan and even have the final gear ratios thanks to official documents from BMW.
There’s no mention of any release date or in fact if this is for a dual-clutch gearbox but it’s expected that BMW’s M3 will receive the innovative gearbox design eventually. We originally predicted that BMW would launch it in the new M3 four-door but, according to Auto Telegraaf, officials may wait until sales of the conventional manual cars start to slow. BMW still has to unveil the Cabrio and Touring versions of the M3, so the launch of the dual-clutch box may coincide with either of these.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
