508 [Official] Peugeot 508 II

The Peugeot 508 is a mid-size/large family car produced by Peugeot since 2010, and followed by the 508 SW, an estate version, in 2011. Since 2012, the 508 has been the flagship model by Peugeot, slotted above the 208 and 308 in size. Production: 2010–2025
The 508 has received a whole heap of positive reviews so far from the motoring press. Most of the reviews have said positive things about the looks and practicality of the hatch, the driving dynamics and mostly the interior they say is a match for premium cars. One review I read they mentioned the interior been a match for the 4-series GC.
It hasn't arrived here yet. The moment it does I'm going to check it out. I'm very, very curious!

Thankfully the next 3er/4er are about the enter CLAR and a massive material upgrade...
But yeah, it could very well be on par with a 4er which is not exactly the pinnacle of premium material use...
I mean, even in an M4 GTS (probably like 8 times a 508 in price) you find dustbin quality hard plastic.

But does the 508 even come with a V6 engine? Do Peugeot even have one now? And if it doesn't come with a V6, I don't understand why it couldn't have Volvo's proportions...

I mean, a wheel at around the level of the A pillar is just so ugly....
The last time there was a Peugeot available with a V6 was the 407.

As for the front overhang, Volvo likely had in mind bigger sized car during their platform developpement compared PSA's EMP2 platform which essentially underpin smaller car (308 II, C4 "Picasso" III, 3008/5008/Grandland X/C5 aircross/ DS7 Crossback).

^ Realy do like this car and looking forward to seeing it on the road. Good times for buying a well designed middle class sedan: Peugeot 508, Mazda 6.

What was the last model they sold in the USA? 505?

The last if I was not wrong was the 405 Mi 16, a beautiful car, aspirational light and sporty, with 160 horses (quite powerful for the time) a top of the line type GTI

Agree, but there is not much more that's good looking in this class. Sadly. I don't like the Passat and it's cousins either.

That's why I only named those two. The rest is mediocre at best.
By the way, in retrospective, the back and side of that 604 mentioned above, reminds me of the 5er E28.

Peugeot

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. Founded in 1810, Peugeot is regarded as the oldest car company in the world. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot (1849-1915) built the company's first car steam tricycle. They joined forces with Léon Serpollet in 1886; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine.
