I'm sure that it will look good when uncovered, but it's boxy and huge. Stopped at a traffic light next to a late model 5008 earlier today, it felt like the 5008's volume was 3 times that of my E39.

Compared to a low-slung 90s sedan for sure 😅 Now as you know the current 5008 is the 7-seat version of the 3008 and is supposed to be boxier than the 3008 in order to allow for ample interior room, but it's actually still quite compact at just 4m64 long. The 3008 is no doubt compact at 4m48 and what's been teased above is the next 3008.

What is surprising though is that this new 3008 switches to a fully coupé roofline, even though the previous gen has been a huge success for Peugeot and you'd think they wouldn't risk losing buyers to the more traditionally shaped Renault Austral or to other competitors

But rather than taking the conservative, faint-hearted route, Peugeot decided to go for a more polarizing 3008/5008 pair this time around, with a sporty looking 3008 on the one hand, and a spacious, traditional looking 5008 on the other hand, which they seem confident will remain sleek enough to retain those who may be turned off by the 3008.

A bit similar to what they did before; replacing the 205 with the 106 and 306. That one didn't quite work out as planned, and they never got to 205 level of hype again. With perhaps that 3008 I posted above as the lowest point in their history.
Right now though, it's getting interesting again with nice designs and decently proportioned cars.

That’s the most cramped and claustrophobic interior I have seen in years.

We got accostume to airy and spacious interiors coming from BEV’s like Tesla, Polestar even KIA.

This is how I imagine an interior after a 100km/h crash test.

Also the extrior doesn’t appeal to me, the trend of “more is more and less is bore” is too French for me, that’s why their cars are aging so fast.

Peugeot

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. Founded in 1810, Peugeot is regarded as the oldest car company in the world. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot (1849-1915) built the company's first car steam tricycle. They joined forces with Léon Serpollet in 1886; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine.
