I spec W214 with E220d 4M and identical option like in my old W213. It costs about ~18k more.

Can't believe we broke 100k mark with E class and 2.0 basic diesel engine.

I guess E450d with those specs will be 120k. Insane

In the UK, Mercedes have increased prices too. However for several models, the 1-2 packages that are otherwise optional, have been baked into the list price. Compared with 7 years ago when I almost purchased a GLC, the model no longer has optional extras weather packages or a' la carte.

It's not ideal as it makes the car model expensive. However, it also makes it easier to buy as cars on the forecourt will have the same specs, and it's easier for dealer to sell inventory.

I truly can't wait to see this vs the 5er sales wise.

The 5er is the ugliest 5er ever, yet E class likely the best E class (visually at least). However, the E class already is old done and tired with its ancient ICE only philosophy before even going on sale, whereas the 5er is firmly plated in the here and now tech wise.

For many companies here in western EU, the E class will not even be on a list to choose from. Incompatible with company policy.

The little great detail that they have "blacked out" that small part makes a lot of difference, it avoids seeing the two "L's" that in my opinion look very bad together, a detail that changes everything at a glance in the E

MBUX superscreen costs ‘only’ € 1.773. The airmatic combined with the rear wheel steering costs more than € 3.300.
Both surprising, in a different way.
