God forgive me, but I'm struggling at first glance to tell it apart from the W213 in photos like this mid-range, the 22" wheels? are the only indication sometimes

Wow the prices have gone up hugely. The Mild Hybrid models are 10K Euro more and plug in hybrid a massive 14K Euro more expensive than equivalent W213 models.

Well, you have to keep in mind, that the 520d G30 was rather expensive to begin with. About € 2.000 more than the W213 E 220d at € 53.820

When is the expected arrival in the Mercedes showrooms? I know it will be September, but can the exhibition date vary from country to country? For example, in Italy they still don't know the exact date......could it be from September 5th?

Well then take a look at the competiton in Germany. I would say the price increase for the newest E-Class is definitively hefty(Question is how much of the price increase is for the lulz or because of higher equipment level), but it is also reflecting the fact that the car market has moved towards higher prices and killing of the poverty spec version of their vehicles.

The profile is so S-class like now, with the C pillar being less rounded and more flowing, and it's all the better for it. Absolutely beautiful. Though I think the S-class profile still pips it for ultimate elegance just a result of proportion.

I just talked with Wagener over the phone, and he told me he's making the next E goofy and fwd-looking specially for you, so you won't have any problem telling it apart from this generation.
