@Giannis, it's a pity that in terms of Mercedes interiors he sees it differently from you and me😜 see the new Cla concept that they will present at the Monaco show where it is said that it will have a long screen over the entire dashboard.......
 
Does anyone know why Mercedes does not offer double glass for better sound isolation on new E Class?

Also, I configured E220d 4Matic EXclusive fully equiped for 100k EUR.
Do you think does it worth to pay 50k EUR extra and get similary equiped S Class.

Not sure does 50k justify difference between these 2?
I know S Klas has better engine, S350 which is 6 cylinder, but I really dont drive fast so I dont care about engine.

It still is on offer and comes with a package. In Germany for instance with the Executive Premium Package.

Yes, the S is worth the extra money. It’s the more refined way of drive that makes it special. As far as I’m concerned, you don’t drive a S class because it being faster or not. It’s the exquisite way it drives and to that way of drive a smooth I6 cylinder engine contributes in a significant way.

That's suprising given that acoustic glass is even available on the GLC. Perhaps it's just an initial production issue. Our S was 'mistakenly' shipped without the acoustic glass. I picked this up and had MB Australia rectify the issue. The difference is night and day IMO.

I also agree with Mick. As good as the E-class has been in some generations, of which we have owned the W211 and W212, the S-class is always on another level and worth the extra money. We have owned the W220, W222 and W223.

I have always felt the E is an upsized C, whereas the S is engineered like something different altogether. Maybe this generation will finally be different.
 
I think in this generation the W214 is closer to S than to C-Class. Nevertheless, there is still a huge gap to the s-class in terms of seating, suspension, NVH and also engine line-up.

For me personally the s-class is too big for German cities, so I would go for a fully loaded W214.

And that's why I'm completely baffled how BMW thought the 7 series size was an acceptable outcome.
Having recently changed from a short to a long car, I treat the car like a caravan or bulky van.

I park far away from entrances to shops or building to give myself room to manoeuvre and to minimise the risk of someone accidentally bumping into the car because it’s too wide and too long.

Furthermore, I’m a morning person and as a result I get the best pick of spaces. However if I was to frequently park in multi-storey spaces, I would be nervous.

Usually it is cca little below EUR 10k difference for 3.0 engine. Think they will introduce it but it may not be available on all markets (UK for example)

This brand is becoming ridiculous. Today I called my dealer in Germany to talk about configuration and confirmation and they told me that Mercedes blocked them from ordering W214 due to production issues. He said that per current information the car will be available at February 2024.

I said wtf, car is available online for configuration, but then he said they can accept it only as a pre order which cannot be realized before 02/2024.

This is really crap, new BMW 5 is available everywhere, and Mercedes cannot make car available a year after presentation.
 
I was very surprised not to see the brown ash inserts in the confuguration of the console as on the c-class
